“Really comfortable airport stopoff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 August 2010

Came off a late flight with the family and needed a place close to the airport before heading north the following day.

When trying to book a place, I was concerned that I would only find expensive or terrible (or both). Harmondsworth Hall was neither. It is only about a 10 minute drive from Heathrow and is a very charming B&B.

Breakfast was lovely, as was the welcome - next time I would even consider staying longer, rather than just making it an airport stop.

Stayed for 5 days to allow as access to London and the surrounding theme parks. Friendly welcome, rooms were comfortable and clean. Local information folder left giving directions to surrounding area and travel tips into London, reccomendations made for local eating. Breakfast was good and varied to suits all tastes. Excellent value for money, would love to go back again.

Needed a bed for the night prior to an early start at Twickenham Stadium. We are a family with three kids. The problem with the big chains is that they do not cater for families, we would have to book 2 rooms. We did a search for a local B and B and Harmondsworth Hall came up. This fitted the bill perfectly. We were able to sleep 2 adults and 3 kids in the 1 room, not ideal in some respects but great to keep the cost down !

Lovely village given its location so close to Heathrow. Good pub grub at local pub for lunch. Bus and tube into town a bit of a trek, but perfect for Heathrow/ Twickenham. Very peaceful given proximity to the airport ( not under flight paths).

We were made to feel very welcome. Room was a great size and building lovely 'olde worlde', much better than a Travel Hotel any day.

Would definately use again.

For the departing travellers from England Via Heathrow, the usual hotels alongside the Airport are I have found, Expensive, noisy and bad value for money.
Harmondsworth Hall is an oasis off the main bustle and a genuine 10 minutes from the airport/ car returns, and you pass a petrol station to finally top up. They will take you to the airport if no car.
it is a quiet forgotten little village, country walks and we ate at the five bell pub 2 minutes slow walk from harmondsworth hall, the hall is an old comfy
mansion 17th century the owners helpful and do a great breakfast. happy to let you order in if you prefer. rooms a well equipt and comfy beds.

We were greeted by Elaine and she was most helpful in bringing our luggage in and storing it while we went to Legoland. She even gave us coupons for Legoland. Upon our return, she helped us find a good place to park inside the gates and we found that our luggage had been brought up to our room. The room was spacious, clean and quite suitable for a family with children and teens.

We decided to order in food and the staff was helpful in assisting us when I had trouble dialing the restaurant. She also provided plates and cutlery for us.

The breakfast was amazing! We were delighted with our stay.

We didn't want to stay at a big corporate hotel and, in that respect, this fitted the bill. We also needed to be as close as possible to West Drayton as we were visiting friends.

The room was large with plenty of tea/coffee provided, so need to ask for more. We had a problem with the TV which was promptly sorted out. We found the beds very comfortable and slept well which is unusual for us on a brief stop over.

Breakfast was the usual fare, taken in a pleasant room with access to the garden if you wished.

The garden is lovely and something you would not get in a chain hotel. Plenty of tables and chairs, plants and birds!
A limited snack menu was available, very useful although we did not have need of it.

Perhaps our only gripe is that when we booked and asked about parking, for a blue badge holder, we were told that it would be no problem. However, on site parking was taken up with guests who had left their cars for the duration of their holiday so we had to park on the road in the village. We understand that this provides an income for the owners, when maybe rooms are not fully let, but it would be a plus if parking on site was available to all guests.

We shall certainly consider staying again.

Stayed at Harmondsworth Hall in West Drayton for two nights at the end of a 3 week vacation to UK. It is a beautiful place with great service and a very good breakfast. Our room was HUGE. Very nicely decorated with antiques. Really comfortable beds. Room service was also quick and friendly. Charming little village. Wish we had time to check out the nature trail. Local pubs don't serve dinner after a certain time. Excellent location to Heathrow airport and bus station. Would definately stay there again!
