“Exceptional!”

Recently visited for two nights to celebrate our anniversary. Coming from London, we completely relaxed in the barn. The staff were extremely helpful, lovely cake and tea on arrival.
While its disappointing that you have to stay over in order to enjoy the superb food, it is well worth a visit. Adam, the chef cooked us two amazing 5 course meals each evening. Best food we have ever had, so much so we've booked to go back again in two weeks and cannot wait to get back!
Some of the walks from the barn are truly stunning. Rooms were very comfortable and spacious, underfloor heating in the bathrooms. Shortbread cookies in your room each evening to enjoy with tea/coffee. Fresh milk provided in little flasks each evening. One of the many touches that makes the barn so special. it is so much more than a b&b!

Room Tip: All of the rooms appeared to be similar, all around a courtyard with tables and chairs outside each...

We booked in here for 1 night. They were very accommodating of us and our baby. We opted to eat there and were very impressed with how good the food was -- plus it looked absolutely gorgeous! We ended up staying an extra night because it was so nice.

The barn has been restored beautifully and is a joy to sit in and admire. The rooms are also very nice and comfortable. We were in one of the largest rooms which was very spacious and had plenty of room to put the baby's cot.

The whole operation is more like staying in a small boutique hotel than a B&B.

Thanks Ellie and Adam for making our stay so enjoyable!

Took all the rooms for 2 nights for pre-wedding dinner and post-reception recovery. The staff couldn't do any more to help. The chef was very proud of his innovative breakfasts and the evening meal on the first night was stunning. The building is completely awesome with a lovely sitting area to relax in. The rooms are great as well, sitting around a courtyard behind the main reception/eating/having coffee/reading area. No phone reception inside the building due to build materials but OK outside and up the slope and in your rooms.

Room Tip: There are 6 and vary in price - 2 at each price so take your pick but they are all great.

Quite simply the best B&B I have ever stayed in. Was there for 2 nights, 1 on my own then my wife joined me on the second night.
The setting, the food, the decor everything was perfect. Thank you.
We would have stayed all week if we could have!! We will definately be back.

Driving up from Chichester through the South Downs was an experience itself with the last mlles stunningly beautiful. Upon arrival at the barn we were warmly welcomed and immediately seated in the beautiful barn (even more spacious than one would expect from looking at the website pictures) and served coffee and tea with fabulous brownies with clotted cream. After given ample time to relax, we were shown our rooms.
We had rented 2 rooms and both were stunning in its simplicity and elegance: Comfortable beds, beautiful, spacious bathrooms with tub and walk-in shower, and each room has a small patio for a morning coffee or evening drink, secluded from the courtyard. We sat outside in the garden enjoying a glass of wine, very peaceful and relaxing and in total silence apart form the birds and an occasional sheep bleating. We had arranged dinner in the barn and it was outstanding: Fresh local ingredients, great flavors, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented without pretense. And not to forget, the service was great. Don't forget to bring your own bottle(s) of wine. The quality of the meal was in our opinion better than one we had earlier in the week in a one star Michelin restaurant and it was clear that the chef thoroughly enjoyed his job. His breakfast of freshly baked muffins, local eggs and sausages any way you want it was outstanding as well. Unfortunately we had only one night before going back to Heathrow, however, the closeness to London makes it certainly more likely that we will return when we visit the city next time. This place is a piece of heaven in Sussex: A fabulous place for a romantic getaway or stay with friends.

This was our first visit to The Barn at Roundhurst - so thrilled to have discovered this hidden bolthole. We stayed for three nights and travelled to Goodwood racecourse each day which was an easy 25minute journey through picturesque countryside. The barn has a glorious setting surrounded by woods and pastures with cattle grazing. The rooms were of a very high standard and the bathrooms very luxurious and huge! A really warm welcome was extended to us and we were really grateful for tea and cake after a five hour journey. We dined at the barn on our last night and the food was very good - breakfast was most enjoyable too! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this little haven...thank you for looking after us so well. We also dined at The Noahs Ark one evening in nearby Lurgashall - recommend that too!

It's all been said already about the accommodation - but then there is the food!

We had their evening meal. A gluten free vegetarian option had already been agreed for one of the party but the main dish was organic lamb with parmesan polenta, sundried tomato, olive and goat's cheese croquette and red pepper puree. It was a delight. Lovely flavours and a well balanced gourmet dish. This had followed an asparagas and hollandaise amuse bouche and an equally well judged squash and artichoke starter with sundried tomato and salad. As described this sounds rather ordinary but again, it was flavoursome and balanced. The pannacotta and fruits dessert finished the meal and, again was brilliant. All served in a nicely secluded part of the main barn area.

This was top end cuisine but certainly not presented in a pretentious manner.
