A loong time ago I got to know the Keepers from walking the area; it's right in the middle of the South Downs National Park close to the River Rother, which it ovelooks. It's also a handy pit stop when travelling the A272 road. I haven't eaten here recently so can't vouch for the food, but this is a wonderful old pub full of atmosphere. Well worth a visit.
