Stayed as a stop over on the way home from our honeymoon, the bedroom was clean and the bed was very comfortable! However the bathroom was dirty soap scum on the bath tiles and along the bath soap scum all under the sink anh also their was hair in the sink, to top it off we had a wake up call at 3am that we didnt ask for. Not worth the money.....

After a horrible experience at the Gainsborough Lodge upon arrival at Gatwick in September, we decided to pay just a few pounds more and stay at the Moat House hotel. It was still very convenient to the airport, and in easy walking distance to the Six Bells pub, but what a huge difference in the politeness of the staff and the quality of the accomodation.
We had a very nice large twin room with a desk and dresser, free Internet, lovely clean bathroom, even lifts/elevators to our room. Everything top notch. We did have to pay a 6 pound parking fee, but the total cost was still only 10 pounds more than the cheapest B&B around. This was a special prepaid rate, but now we are spoiled and will probably be willing to pay more on future trips.

Room Tip: Even though our 3rd floor room overlooked the roundabout, the big heavy double windows made for a qu...

I was not happy to find that after paying almost £100 for a room without any heating, I then had to pay for breakfast! Fair enough, however as I had checked out early (leaving the tea and coffee making facilities in my room) I went to the restaurant hoping to at least get a coffee without having to pay for it, but no, I was asked to pay for a coffee after just paying £100 for a bed for 5 hours. Staff were ok, I know it was the stupid hotel rules so cannot blame them, however I don't think a coffee while I waited would have broken the bank, especially when I could have gone back up to the cold room and made myself a coffee if I had not just checked out 2 minutes beforehand to save time.

Won't be going back.

Typical airport hotel. Dull. Just adequate. Not over expensive. Website over exaggerates its worth. Paid extra for featured family room for 4. Was a normal room with bunk bed! Really disappointing. Air con faulty. Food really quite good but restaurant service poor and grumpy.

This hotel is a convenient, good value airport stopover. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well maintained. The staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. I can’t comment on the catering as we did not eat at the hotel. The only issue we encountered was the multi-storey car park which is very cramped and tight. I was glad I was not driving a large 4x4.

A great location, very near to the airport. A comfy room with a functionable bathroom. It has a nice restaurant with great food but not cheap. If your looking for a comfy bed near to Gatwick this will do nicely.

We stayed here for 1 night before our 9am flight. Very close to the north terminal, 5 mins from the south. The staff were friendly and helpful. and our room was clean and comfortable.
The parking in the multi story carpark is a bit tight, but secure. we ate at a local pub and that was yummy, i think it was called the 6 bells. Overall a good airport hotel.
