We arrived at Gatwick, an airport I hate with a vengeance! Due to the time difference, I woke at 5am, 7am my body clock time, and went down to have a cigarette (yes I am a member of the ethnic minority!). What I loved was, I went outside, and a member of staff, stood in the back ground, very discretely, to keep an eye on me, really felt safe! Our meal when we arrived, I couldn't finish, as it was huge, and very good value, as for breakfast, the staff couldn't have been more attentive, if you ate everything that was on offer, I swear you wouldn't have needed to eat for the next 2 days! Beds very comfortable. If I could face Gatwick again, I would stay there like a shot!

After a day from hell dealing with Thomas cook we needed somewhere to stay as we were flying from Gatwick instead of Birmingham in the matter of hours. Quick and easy to book and at a reasonable price. Restaurant food was nice, expensive, but then you are at the airport! Would recommend

Paid a reasonable price for this hotel

Room very small and tiny bed .... Bit musty but ok

Car parking was good as could find space and keep keys

Restaurant was good and good prices both dinner and breakfast

One negative our key was to an already occupied room and we walked in one somebody else however they did apologise and reduced a night parking from bill

Stayed here for one night after returning from holiday. The price we paid for 15 nights parking and breakfast couldn't be beaten. The staff at reception were very pleasant and helpful as were the bar staff. Lovely comfortable bar area and excellent food, the rooms were clean and the bed very comfortable i must say the breakfast was one of the best we've had, we would definitely stay here again.

This is a great hotel near the Gatwick North terminal. The rooms are a nice size for a one night stay. They have a bus that runs 24 hours to both terminals for a small fare. There is a nice bar and restaurant. I would recommend this hotel to anyone flying out of gatwick and I would stay here again.

I think its hard now to find a excellent good value airport hotel around Gatwick, the problem being is that some of them are so old.
The Airport Inn has recently changed hands from a Best Western to be within the Britannia chain. Previously it was the old Moat House and certainly from the outside it is stuck in the 70s.
But lets be fair here - its a stopover before a flight, its reasonable priced for car parking included in the rate and its a bed for the night.
Rooms are small, double bed and of a basic standard. Think Travelodge\Premier Inn style rooms and you have what you will receive at the Airport Inn.
Staff were good, quick check-in, hassle free service and I even had help with my bags when I returned from my holiday to my car.
They do have a bar and restaurant but it was expensively priced for what it was. Easier to get cheaper in Crawley or a nearby town, but if not then its Airport prices you pay and there is nothing else around in the immediate vicinity other than Airport Hotels.
Car parking was included in my rate.
Bus shuttle was more frequent than some other hotels (and this is why we chose it) - 15 min intervals and takes 6 mins to get to terminal.(Its really not that far from North Terminal)
Single Journey was £3.
There evidently are better hotels in Gatwick - but you pay for what you get and as a one night before flight hotel with parking its alright
