“Brilliant, cozy place and lovely host!”
Reviewed 20 May 2014

We visited Stirling in the begging of May and stayed for 4 nights in this wonderful and cozy B&B.

The place is amazing, with enough parking space for the car and is close to Stirling University, Wallace Monument and not very far from the Stirling Castle and city centre.

We had our double room with the perfect view of the Wallace monument.
The room is spacious and modern, spotless, and it has all the necessary facilities such as WiFi, TV, DVDs, coffee/tea and toiletries at hand.

The heating was turned on when necessary, comfortable and clean sheets, biscuits, hot chocolate, coffee and kettle, these are all provided in the room. The bathroom was spacious and always clean.
We were genuinely impressed by the freshly cooked breakfast and the many options to choose from every morning.
Great hospitality, Liz and Pat are so friendly and they made our stay a pleasant and memorable one.

Liz was amazing in accurately advising us on the various places and routes to visit. Her tips were indeed helpful especially those on picking restaurants and nice places to eat in the evening. She even gave us a voucher for a certain pub! Overall high standards at a decent price.

We fully enjoyed our stay and we would definitely come back to visit and stay in the future.

2 nights while attending a course at Stirling University. A perfect welcome by Liz and excellent room - very neat, clean and tidy - with perfect breakfast each morning. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

Easy access onwards towards the north of the city and beyond.

We arrived late in the evening, but the lady was there, and she received us with a warm welcome. The two rooms were clean, large enough to move at ease, with small but tidy ensuite bathrooms. beautiful wiew on Wallace monument, even if the room on the street is a bit noisy in the morning (perfect sleep anyway, thanks to the very cosy beds!). There are books, dvds, TV with DVD player and speed wifi to help tourists. The best scottish breakfast ever...freshly cut fruit (bananas, oranges, kiwi, strawberries...), and all the best to start the day, served in a cosy dinner room next to the kitchen, so we felt just like at home. The lady gave us useful informations and maps to go to Stirling and Kalkirk. Highly recommended!

My wife and I stayed just one night at Craigard B&B in late May, but based on our experience we can make an unqualified endorsement for the thoughtful attention and service we received while there.
We had actually planned to stay at another B&B, but arriving late after a long drive from Manchester, we found that our reservation had not been completed. I had a hard time locating Causewayhead Road from my Google Map directions, but the innkeeper where I thought I had a room gave me good directions over the phone and while we were in transit she located a room for us at Craigard, right next door.
Liz, at Craigard, could not have been more accommodating. She showed us the room she had available—a little smallish, but very neat and tidy—and offered to find someplace for us to eat when I mentioned that we had not stopped for dinner yet (and it was already after 8 pm). By the time we freshened up and went back downstairs to check in with her, she had checked at a local pub she recommended (The Birds and Bees) to verify they were still serving and even offered to drive us over, noting that we were probably tired of driving (which was true).
She gave us verbal directions on how to get back, including a short cut we could take through the neighborhood on foot, and also provided a discount card to apply to the bill. Dinner the next morning was excellent, perhaps the best we had while in Scotland. My wife especially loved the porridge and Liz was happy to share how she made it and what type of oats she used.
We really appreciated the extra effort made to make us feel at home, even though we were kind of an emergency arrival. It really helped to salvage what could have been a very unpleasant situation. Kudos and best wishes to Liz and Craigard!

After looking at the various b & b's in Stirling finding Craigard was like striking gold! We would stay here again without hesitation, Just being down the road from the Wallace Monument was a bonus. Liz was really helpful and friendly while the room was spotless.
Good choice of breakfast with surely something for everyone.

Liz was a great hostess and very helpful with routes and navigating the area.
she gave us many tips on parking when we drove to Edinburgh for the day. Her breakfasts were very good. The best of the trip. While the rooms are somewhat small the bathroom was spotless. I would reccomend this B&B.

Stayed here overnight when attending our daughter's graduation. Received a warm welcome from Liz, who was very accommodating with regard to our request for an early breakfast. Our room was very comfortable, with a view over the back garden. A well stocked hospitality tray was provided, and Liz offered fresh milk as an alternative to the uht portions on the tray. Bottled water was also provided and the hair dryer in the room was a full size, high power one, unlike the poor quality travel type ones which are often on offer. The en suite shower room was so clean it actually looked brand new! Breakfast was one of the best we've had, generous portions and very well cooked. Fruit juice, fresh fruit and toast were also provided, along with a good variety of other options. All in all we felt that it was excellent value, and would have no hesitation in staying here again.
