The food was beautiful and over priced. I didn't like the decor. I didn't feel relaxed. Though there was no dress code, I felt underdressed as this restaurant was more like in a stately home than just a restaurant.

Ate there on first night staying at the hotel it is part of, the Stirling Highland. (See separate review). The food is really rather nice and the service decent with a nice ancient schoolroom atmosphere. However it is too expensive for what you get. The place would have merited a score of 4 if it was 25% cheaper (which would also be more in keeping with the local market).

Visited the hotel through a deal for afternoon tea for two. I found the experience very enjoyable. The food was very good and the staff were pleasant. Overall the visit was very nice and good value for money.

We visited this restaurant on a deal.
Its situated in the Stirling Highland Hotel near the Castle and although it looks rather old- fashioned it has a comfy feel. The meal was very good especially for a Hotel and all four of us enjoyed a variety of dishes all very good indeed. One of the party had the steak that was excellent considering the price we paid. Service was very good and staff were friendly and easy to talk to and the wine list was good and we thought the prices reasonable.
I would not have thought of visiting this restaurant if it had not been for the deal but would certainly consider returning.
Parking was a little tricky although the car park is a fair size but as it was the height of the holiday season was to be expected

Very pleasant accommodations.
Offering a more haut-cuisine food offering and presentation. We were five for dinner and four of the five were very pleased. Reasonable portions. Nice wine selection
