Good old fashion pub grub right in the heart of Stirling city centre.

Friendly staff and good food without the fancy prices, ideal for families.

Can recommend to travellers.

I went to the Corn Exchange for lunch with 2 adults and 3 children recently as part of a trip to Stirling Castle. The Corn Exchange is a pub that does grub and the food is of the expected quality, it is tasty but not cordon bleu. Chips, burgers, hot dogs, chicken goujons are all on the menu...and my personal favourite...curly fries! We went to the Corn Exchange as we were told it had a kids' menu, which it did. The children were happy with their choices and the portion sizes were ok, but not as big as a normal kids' portion in other cafes / restaurants we've been to. Then the adult meals arrived. My husband had ordered macaroni cheese and it came in what looked like a starter-sized dish, it was the most ridiculously small portion of macaroni cheese I'd ever seen. So much so that he had to order something else as he was still hungry after eating it. At £5.29, this should have been way more generous. My brother ordered the veggie burger, which he said was tasty but again the portion of fries that accompanied the burger was extremely small (about 6 chips) and the salad was more of a garnish. The staff were nice though. So, all-in-all, I would recommend the Corn Exchange on the basis of nice staff and reasonably tasty food but just make sure you eat before you go for lunch there.
