We had a bad feeling when we were handed a glossy plastic menu. Very slow service, so-so food. Unresponsive to a request for the bill.
We're American, and pretty much considered this an example of low American standards for a restaurant. Nice looking place, though.

Always a fantastic atmosphere and prices are more than reasonable. Great for a few drinks, or as a pre-club drink.

After a long day driving around we settled in stirling and went for a meal in the city centre. After walking around a bit we ended up at the corn exchange. The weather was beautiful so we sat outside in the sun. We ordered chicken wings and breaded mushrooms as starters. The mushrooms were okay, nothing special but tasty and the chicken wings were tasty, though a bit tough. For our mains we ordered a classic hotdog with a salad as a side and mac and cheese. This turned out to be the disappointing part... The chips that came with the hotdog were literally soaked in fat, we could squeeze them and oil would come out. This was obvious from sight only and I wonder if this is something the staff check before serving. No quality there. The hotdog was good but as a result of the oily chips the bun was partly soaked as well. The salad that came with it was good though. The macaroni was anything but special. There was no seasoning and it only tasted of cheese. I expected some more of this. The garlic bread that came with it was good though I offered half of it to my boyfriend who didn't eat the gross chips.
When we asked for the bill it took 15 minutes before we decided to go inside to pay, the waitress had apparently forgot us... not a good experience... I do have to say that the price of the food was very reasonable but even with cheaper food I would expect some more quality.

Went for an impromptu drink and stayed for dinner and cocktails. All was really fantastic. Lovely surroundings and very friendly staff. Will definitely return and hope it continues to provide great food and great service.
