Was here over a year ago now and gave it three stars, it was far better this time so I've given it an extra star, It hard not to walk past the Westerton Arms and not be dragged in by the smell of the char grilled, good food, service and price.

Stopped here for a lunch, menu was excellent, very good selection of ales and wine, this place is spotless and well run. The quality of the food was exceptional for a pub, we really enjoyed our lunch, nice and relaxing, be prepared to wait as it is a busy place and the staff seemed rushed, but well worth wait.

This is a warm friendly independent family run pub and restaurant in the beautiful Village Bridge of Alan just outside Stirling. You can’t fault their hospitality; it was busy even early on a Thursday evening. The food was good home cooked and well-priced, if you are in the area and looking for somewhere to eat or just have a drink this is well worth a visit.

Very average food - what you would expect of pub grub. We certainly would not go back here for a meal.

Very welcoming and interested staff who engaged in real conversation and did everything possible to make eating experience enjoyable. Very varied menu and also dish of the day. I had the fish which was obviously fresh rather than frozen as was the chipped potatoes and vegetables. Friends had beef in red wine and steak pie and again both were homemade rather than bought in microwaved as is the norm in some local establishments. Everyone enjoyed their meal and it was clean plates all round. The only grumble was the lack of ambience of the tables in the centre of the extension - much more pleasant and roomy in the original part of the lounge bar. Somewhere you can always rely on good food at a reasonable price.
