“Amazing setting”
Reviewed 9 January 2014

If you history and amazing scenery then visit this grave. There is Balquhidder church and the ruin of the old church to see. Kirkton burn is nearby and is a nice wee walk.

“A beautiful place”
Reviewed 6 January 2014

The grave itself isn't that exciting, however the setting is stunning. Well worth going down to the little bridge at the head of Loch Voil as it's beautiful, you can then bear left continue along that road for a few miles and rejoin the A84 at Strathyre but it is very narrow indeed!

“Is it, or isn't it? History suggests Not”
Reviewed 30 September 2013

This small church and associated graveyard is found off the beaten track, down a single track road with passing places. The church was closed when we arrived, but we had a pleasant walk round the graveyard. There is a tourist notice board which explains that it is not actually Rob Roy's grave, but it is the grave of some of his relatives. A nice country track to get here, but slight disappointment as all is not what it claims to be.

“Abesolutely Breathtaking Scenery”
Reviewed 20 September 2013

After snaking your way lovely Scottish mountain roads following a river, you pass into a very small town with one church. In the cemetery of the church hosts Rob Roy's grave. The grave itself isn't that incredible, but the history of the man in the grave is. you can enter the ancient and beautiful church, walk around the quaint village, enjoy the sheep pastures, or stand in the awe of the mountains. This place is best in winter, and is truly unforgettable. You might enjoy getting to this attraction more than the attraction itself. This was one of my favorite journeys in all of my travels.

“Pay your respects to a piece of Scottish History”
Reviewed 13 September 2013

Follow the winding road through Balquhidder to the church yard and you'll be able to pay your respects. It won't take much time, so if you're passing - why not!
