As the only church in Scotland that hosted a coronation (James VI of Scotland), this church should be on your visitation list for historical reasons alone, especially since it is only a block or two from Stirling Castle. There is no charge, although donations are welcome.
Check out the interesting graves in the yard if you have time.
There are some nice stained glass windows.
The John Cowan café (located in a former hospital) across from the entrance has great snacks.

Its not a huge church but worth a look. Its the only church outside of London that as crowned a king (james1 or James 6) Take a leaflet when you enter as the full history of the church is on there, Theres lovely stained glass windows and its very peaceful. Take a few minutes to sit and relax. The church yard as some interesting graves and well worth a look round. I found some from the boar war .Its very hilly so good comfortable shoes are a must. There a little cafe thats just started up in the old hospital(worth a look) in the grounds as well and she bakes all her own cakes which are delicious .
