What a wee gem of a church. Beautiful stained glass windows, and an interesting history, and of course the spot where James VI was crowned.
Its free to enter, but the Church survives on kind donations.
Well worth a visit.

The only church in Scotland standing where a coronation has taken place. Worth a visit, it's free (although worth a contribution to help keep the church in a good state) and helpful staff from Historic Scotland will answer any questions you have.

Lots of interesting history - the only church in Scotland where there has been a coronation and a wall was also built within the church's to segregate the congregation which was only taken down unbelievably in 1930!! A good guide to take you round the most interesting parts and a very engaging chap on the door to tell you a little more about the church who definitely rates the chocolate brownies at John Cowane's Hospital café across the road. A little later we did sample the brownies and have to agree!

I was fortunate to meet a volunteer who gave me a guided tour. Very interesting story about the two congregations. So much for 'brotherly love'.

As the only church in Scotland that hosted a coronation (James VI of Scotland), this church should be on your visitation list for historical reasons alone, especially since it is only a block or two from Stirling Castle. There is no charge, although donations are welcome.
Check out the interesting graves in the yard if you have time.
There are some nice stained glass windows.
The John Cowan café (located in a former hospital) across from the entrance has great snacks.
