“Consistently good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 September 2014 via mobile

I have eaten here a few times and it is consistently good and very cheap. They do a good set menu for lunch and dinner but they do a cracking Sunday lunch. Nice surrounding and friendly service. I will return again and again.

“Excellent food, great service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 August 2014 via mobile

Back on top form these days. Delicious meal, everyone thoroughly enjoyed it, from the 5&7 year olds up to the granny-year olds! Chicken on haggis mash was the best thing I've tasted in a long time and their deserts are always fantastic - especially the creme brûlée. Excellent value for money as we went on a Friday night at 6pm and had the early evening menu. Staff very attentive too. All round lovely meal in beautiful setting.

“Tasty food and good service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2014

I went with a group of friends and from the time I made the booking service was excellent. I phoned to add another person to the party which was no trouble.

Meal was one of the best I'd ever had and as it was from the Early Evening Menu with a starter and main for £12.95 it was good value as well! I had the goats cheese crostini with roasted beetroot followed bt braised pork cheeks in a cider and pancetta sauce. Meat was so well cooked it just fell to pieces and the sauce and veg were good too.

Several in the party asked for adjustments to the menu and that was no trouble either. Only small slip was being brought a lager shandy when a beer shandy was ordered and that was quickly rectified. Service was quick and attentive with out being obtrusive

Will certainly be back!!!

“Very handy location close to major roads, good value, quality food and friendly service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2014

Had lucy here for the first time as a convenient meeting point for a relative from Helensburgh and us coming from Crieff.

Lunch menu was very good value - choice of two course for £7.50 - and a good selection.

I had the black pudding, chorizo and soft egg salad to start, followed by very well cooked and tender pork cheeks on a bed of pureed potato, followed by eton mess which I struggled to finish.

Only downside was the loud background muzak - unfortunately our table was right under a speaker - but a quick word to one of the waiters and he was very accommodating in turning it down.

Friendly, efficient service and never felt rushed despite being very busy.
