“Pleasant well positioned B&B”
Reviewed 31 August 2012

We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of August. Mandy is very welcoming, helpful and always makes time for a chat. We had an excellent clean and tidy room (the one in the picture with the bay window) which now has a flat screen tv above the fire place. The ensuite is small which we coped with but our shower was rather temperamental. The door was a struggle to close and at times the water pressure would cut out and the shower would run cold water until it fixed itself. There is a good breakfast selection, however we were always asked to pick a time for breakfast and even though we turned up at that time, we were often left waiting or offered to sit with another couple! If the breakfast time was extended, I feel this would easily be sorted out. The B&B itself is very well situated, walking distance from the town centre and the castle. We drove (but you can take a bus) to the Wallace monument within 5 mins. I even think for those who didn't have cars, Mandy would offer a lift to, which is above and beyond what you would expect from a B&B.

Room Tip: We had room 6, gorgeous but dodgy shower!

We had a room in the second house at the back and by looking at the photos on TripAdvisor it looks like there are other rooms in the main building which look more cosy.

Still, our room was clean and everything was functional, but with no WIFI - the only comment I would have is that we felt a little rushed in by the owner: this was clearly "run as a business" and there was no real effort to do a little more.

The warmest welcome ever from Mandy with lovely room. immaculate in every way and an excellent position for exploring Stirling by foot. Breakfast was superb and such lovely people.
We would highly recommend a stay here.

Room Tip: If you are a poor sleeper, the annexe is a bit quieter.

It was our first time in a B&B and it was a great stay! It was the two of us, boyfriend and me from Hungary, 8 nights. Clean, spacious room, excellent breakfast! We had an en-suit bathroom, not too big but clean and fine.
Mandi & Tom were always ready to help with tips for our trips or just have a chat.
We liked the Sainsbury's opposite and the fact that the bus and train stations as well as the town centre are within walking distance (10-15 min).
Good value for the money!
Definitely we will return if we have the chance.

A great B&B/ Guest House. Made to feel very welcome, room was great for the four of us, two adults and two children. Would prefer unsuite instead of bathroom across landing, but we did have it all to ourselves. Wouldn't stop me from staying again. A really busy place but Mandy and her husband had time to speak to everyone. Breakfast was fantastic, felt guilty at leaving some because it was so nice, but as I told Mandy it was just to much for me.

Was put up at Auchyle during my visit to Stirling on business. Was worth the stay. The rooms are quite good and so is the hearty breakfast which I had opted for during my stay. Owners Mandy & Tom are truely fantastic & makes you feel right at home. Location wise Sainsbury supermarket is right opposite the road, while the train station & town center are 5-10 mins walk from Auchyle. Surely will miss their dogs. Would definitely stay at Auchyle if ever I'm going to Stirling again.
