We traveled as a couple on Friday 1st of August for a 2 night stay as we were in Scotland for the Commonwealth games. The train to Glasgow only takes half an hour from Stirling and so this was a perfect base.

Mandy is such a lovely host, very attentive and will do anything she can to help make your stay pleasant. On our second day it was chucking down with rain and she even offered us a lift to the station but we braved the Scottish weather!

We stayed in a double room on the ground floor next to the breakfast area. The room was perfect, wardrobe, TV, tea/coffee etc etc. Double bed was extremely comfortable and bathroom/shower was absolutely fine.

Breakfast needs to be ticked off on a sheet of paper the day before you eat it with plenty of choice including haggis if you fancy trying it! Breakfast was really tasty especially the scrambled egg.

The whole place feels very homely and you are made to feel very welcome.

All in all we really enjoyed our stay, all the staff are lovely and the hotel is situated just a short walk from the train station. There's also a Sainsbury's across the road if you're in need of any essentials. Stirling castle is also a short walk from the hotel where you can see fantastic views of the hills surrounding Stirling.

I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area. Highly recommended for the room rate!

We broke down, just outside Stirling, and the Rescue Service towed towed us to a garage which suggested this B&B.. and how pleased we were that they did!!!
Mandy, was lovely, made us feel really welcome after a traumatic and long day, we hadnt expected to stay in Stirling so hadnt booked anywhere, and as it was the opening ceremony for the Games we thought we might have trouble finding anywhere. But if I come to Stirling again, this would always be my first choice.
Its exceptionally clean, comfy beds, with chocs and water ready for you in the room.
Really good location , just a 10 minute lovely walk up the hill to the castle.
But best of all is one of the best breakfasts ever, lovely fresh well cooked produce and plenty of it. Thanks Mandy.

Only stayed one night enroute elsewhere. We received a warm welcome and the offer of a lift into town for our evening meal (only a 10-15 min walk but nice when you don't have your bearings). We booked the family room which was comfortable for one night (was quite cramped so not ideal for a longer stay). Tea/coffee in room. Tiny ensuite but perfectly adequate. Breakfast was fantastic, huge choice of cold options and hot food cooked to order.

We had a great stay at this B&B booked at short notice and was very happy with the location as it was walkable to the city centre and local attractions.
Had a great curry in the town centre a place called Maharaja in King St. This was followed by some drinks in the City Walls.
Breakfast was outstanding best I've had at a B&B and the owner was very friendly and helpfull

Spent a nice weekend in Stirling, stayed at the Auchyle Guest House. We had a room in the building at the back of the house, it was perfect. Breakfast was delicious, great hosts and one of the best guest houses we have stayed in. Very good location, 10-15 minute to shops and castle.

As part of a charity car challenge from John O'Groats to Lands End with a group of couples, we arrived into Stirling later into the evening with nowhere to stay. My husband and I were so impressed with Auchyle Guest house as the lady was so accommodating to let us stay with such little notice. Great size room which was lovely and clean and a fantastic breakfast that kept us going until the evening the next day. The guest house is conveniently located opposite a Sainsburys too.
Thank you!

We stayed here for 1 night in May. The room was above average size with a double bed, ensuite and sofa. There was plenty of storage space for clothes and we were left complimentary teas, coffees, biscuits and chocolates. The ensuite was small but adequate and there was an abundance of towels.
The owners were very friendly and Mandi was so helpful. We were going out for a meal that night with friends and when we said where we were going, Mandi produced discount vouchers for 2 free drinks, which was really thoughtful . We also got a voucher to get free entry for one into The Wallace Monument. So we were very happy with the savings which were a lovely surprise and unexpected. Such a lovely gesture.
The breakfast which Tom made was delicious and huge. I couldn't manage all of mine, but my husband finished it off.
To say that we only stayed 1 night after visiting friends, it was a very comfortable and homely B&B. We would recommend this B&B and would stay here again.
