Me and my boyfriend came here for our first time, as we walked in to the resturant our welcome was basically come in sit down, as other guests arrived we noticed how friendly they where to them, we where casually dressed and guessed this must of been the reason for our cold reception, I had to ask for poppadoms as others where getting them free, food was tasty but only 8 dishes to choose from and no dessert, definitely not worth £9.95 think the red hot world buffet would be a better option, felt like everyone was watching and judging us, wont be visiting again.

Being very local the Jamil is super convenient but would be happy to travel to
enjoy the great food and service. The outside is deceiving as to how plush it is
inside with very modern, contemporary decor and a small waiting area and bar.

The staff are very knowledgeable, polite and cant do enough to help. A warm
welcome every time, even if you are just collecting your takeway. Had a wait one night
as it was so busy, and the beer was on the house, nice touch.

The food is traditional, but very fresh and authentic and definitely tastes a whole lot
better than a lot of the more run of the mill Indians.

Well worth trying for a sit down, great for takeaway and the convenience of being able to
order for delivery or collection and pay for on line

We're not big fans of Indian food in the UK, its never been up to the tastes of India itself. But having spent another month in India recently and fancying some Indian food we thought we'd give Jamil a try. And it was very good. It was a quiet Tuesday evening with only a few tables occupied which meant the service should be very good although equally perhaps they could be bored with being quiet or just casual, but no, excellent service, attentive and interested. Food was served promptly for our group, no waiting for dishes for some people and all food was hot and tasty. All in all just very good food well served in pleasant atmosphere.

We went as a party of 12 for a 30th birthday, fantastic service and the food was superb, well worth a visit and not too pricey.

I have eaten in Jamil's a few times and after the first visit the food seems to have gone downhill, whatever you order it all tastes very similar and although when they first opened service was brilliant it is now quite slow and the staff have a couldn't care less attitude. I much prefer The Bombay Blue.
