At first we was unsure, but once we sat down ordered our food the staff were friendly and was very clean inside. Menu had plenty of choice and big enough potions and excellent value for your money.

I went here a couple of months ago. We had excellent food and service. This is exactly the sort of restaurant Ponty needs to give a bit more variety. Good value for money too.

.....very drafty even half way back in a very narrow eatery. Service a little too slow. Seating comfortable & decor typically mediterranean which added a nice touch. Staff attentive when called but weren't very aware of plates that needed clearing away etc. I will go again though, even if staff need to be reminded to be more attentive at the right times and keep that entry door closed, as the food was very tasty.

Located in Bath or Marylebone, this would be a great place to go at any time of day - in Pontypridd, it'is spectacular. A long, narrow cafe, squeezed next to the Grehound and across the road from the station, the decor can be a bit alarming, half way between tropical and Mediterranean, but it works well enough. Service is friendly and the waiter didn't hesitate when asked for a container so a young child could finish her excellent looking (non-alcoholic) cocktail at home. The mint tea was made of fresh ingredients and they stock a good selection of juices, but it's "byo" for wine or beer with a small corkerage charge. Their speciality is of course grills; lamb, fish or vegetarian, but there is an extensive menu. We ate at lunch-time, so I am unsure what the atmosphere would be like on a boisterous Friday or Saturday night. My only minor gripe would be the music which veered towards AOR at times. Overall a brilliant addition to the local scene so long as they can keep up the first-rate food and sizeable portions and don't start to cut corners.

The Bamboo Grill in Pontypridd has only just opened but has established itself on the culinary scene. The food is delicious, meat is marinated in herbs and is served tender with lots of tasty accompaniments. The prices are also very good and the decor is likened to being in a Turkish boudoir!!!
