We decided to break up our camping trip with a couple of nights in a hotel, as there was bad weather forecast. We did a very quick internet search (as we had poor connections whilst camping), and found Malin House. We booked a family room. The room was spacious, in fact it was an apartment, with a seperate room for the children and a kitchen area as well as a shower room. The shower was very poor, with the water coming through in a sort of sprinkle. The shower drained very slowly indeed. The room was very noisy. There was rain and wind on the velux window, noise from the road and an awful lot of noise from adjacent rooms. The hotel was not particularly clean, with cobwebs and a dead spider above the bed, and cobwebs on some of the many ornaments in the public rooms. It was nice that there was an indoor pool, and the children enjoyed using it, but there was only a small shower room to change in, which was a little distance from the pool and had quite a dirty carpet in it. The pool table was, as described by a previous guest, unplayable due to the poor cues. What we didn't realise on booking was that this is just a B&B guest house, offering no meals other than breakfast. We had assumed that because it is called a hotel that it would in fact be a hotel. The fact that it had an indoor pool, gardens, "billiard room" (pool table), and many guest areas shown on the internet maybe made us jump to the wrong conclusion. On the plus side the breakfast was very good, with a lot of choice.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in the family room. We all enjoyed our stay at the hotel and our boys loved the swimming pool, garden and swings. My eldest has asked if we could return and stay again. The location is brilliant for visiting surrounding areas and Saundersfoot is a very nice village with good places to eat. Thanks for the stay!

Friendly welcome, tea on arrival, great rooms, excellent breakfast - who could ask for more except for location which again was excellent being only a very short walk from the hotel to the town centre shops and beach

Let's face it, paying just over £100 for a 2 night stay in Saundersfoot on a busy weekend I was not expecting the Ritz and indeed the Ritz it is not, however it does not pretend to be a high end hotel either. The hotel is in a good location, as long as you don't mind a hill, to explore Saundersfoot. There is also a regular bus link into Tenby from the town which takes around 12 minutes.
First impressions of the hotel were good with a large garden with tables, chairs and sun loungers with a good children's play area. There was also a hot tub outside along with a small indoor swimming area along with a lounge and tv area with comfortable settees.
We were shown to our room which was spacious and clean. There was an en-suite that was stocked with shampoo and body wash. The room also had plenty of storage and a fridge which proved very handy as it was a warm weekend.
After reading the previous reviews I was dreading this weekend in this hotel but I found it to be clean, comfortable and extremely good value for money. If you are expecting a 5 star establishment then book one, if you want somewhere to lay your head and explore wonderful Pembrokeshire, you can't go far wrong with the Malin House Hotel!
