Recently spent our anniversary weekend at Cliff House, and what a wonderful welcome we had.
Everything you would expect from a good Bed and Breakfast were there (comfortable rooms, great nights sleep and tasty breakfasts), but what makes this place stand out are the finer details. Our welcome was more than just being shown the room, Anne and Michael greeted us with a cup of tea and (delicious) cake.
The room had excellent views, and they provided stools which allowed you to get the most of the view of the bay and harbour.
In the dining room there was a broad range of dvd's in particular you could borrow, including some recently titles. The lounge book shelf was well stocked with literature on the local area and maps for local walks. A parking ticket was supplied for the local car park (a short distance down the hill), but our car stayed put from Friday afternoon to Sunday as is plenty to explore in the immediate area. We spent our Saturday on a very satisfying walk along the coast to the National Trust property at Colby a few miles east.
Breakfast was a particular highlight, the standard of food was high and included a lot of local produce. Lunch wasn't required afterwards.
Saundersfoot had a good range of places to eat in the evening, and again our hosts were able to provide some excellent guidance.
Will be looking forward to returning here, when we will be exploring the path west to Tenby.
