“Total rest and relaxation for you and your dog!”
Reviewed 14 August 2012

When Moreton House say they are dog friendly, they really are dog friendly! This is our second visit (we will be going back again as well!) and we did laugh at new visitors turning up after us as like us they were uneasy about letting the dogs out of the car to wander freely but dogs go anywhere in this house and you are taken up to your rooms and shown around by either the lovely Angela or Roger (he is lovely too!). Dogs are shown around too, the only time they are shut upstairs or out in the large porch or large garden is when you are having your breakfast in the dining room. The garden is completely dog friendly and very securely fenced everywhere, the owners have two border collies them selves and welcome people with dogs with open arms, none of this dogs aren't allowed in the bedroom and have to sleep in the car business!
The breakfast is to die for, my husband is 6ft 3 with an appetite to match and even he only just about manages to finish the breakfast, all cooked beautifully! The 3 rooms are all gorgeous, very, very spacious, in ours room for 3 dogs beds on the floor and a dog crate of which we never used as all 3 dogs were so worn out at the end of the day from running round they all passed out! All 3 bedrooms have a large wooden balcony with glass safety rail with fantastic views over the sea in the distance if you book the rooms at the front, and if you have the room at the back (which we love) you have a private balcony overlooking the garden.
Roger and Angela make the stay complete, they showed us the horses, the goats, gave us tips on where to visit and even did a get together BBQ which they joined us for which was delightful! They truly are both very hard workers and give 100% to make you feel at home, rested and to take all your worries away. Moreton House is a true gem, thank you!

Room Tip: ALl rooms are lovely, the two facing the front have very large balconys which aren't private, th...

This is a great place to stay in Pembrokeshire, with great access to some of the UK's best coastline. We stayed with 3 young dogs and I was slightly anxious about how they would behave and if Moreton House was truly dog friendly. "Relax" Roger and Angela assured us, as our dogs met their lovely horses and goats. Totally enclosed and with bowls and doggy towels at our disposal we could relax and let the dogs relax too and enjoy the open space. Rooms were lovely and spacious and vegetarian breakfast delicious! Warm welcome and great fun!

Have travelled to this lovely place lots of time for about 5 years and it never fails to be perfect. Roger and Angela work tirelessly to ensure that all their guests 2 and 4 legged have a great time.

The area is brilliant for dog walking and lots of fun on the beaches getting tired and soggy (not always in the rain).

The breakfast is as others have said, huge, freshly cooked and sourced. I personally have never got through one but my husband has and looks forward to it as soon as we book to go.

This place is not just good for people with dogs as it is immaculately clean and does not have any lingering smell.

I want to say everyone should try it, but I also like it to stay a secret, so that I can continue to enjoy with my family.

What a fantastic place and a real home from home. We can not get enough of the large spotlessly clean bedrooms with fluffy towels and all you need. You also have use of a reading lounge and outside kitchen area plus bbq if you fancy cooking. You need to stay longer then one night as one night is not enough. We found this place in June and have been back now 3 times since and have also taken our parents who are now planning a weeks stay. Angela and Roger are real genuine fantstic people with a great sense of humour and have two of the most beautiful dogs. The house and land is a dream, with sea views from your private balcony, you can sit in bed a watch the sea or see the sun set, and all with just a short walk to the beach. Our two busy beagles were made to feel at home with fresh towels for muddy paws, they loved looking out from the balcony watching the goats, horses and rabbits in the morning and loved running around the grounds. Angela's breakfast is a feast with free range eggs, home made bread and marmalade to die for she could win awards for this. ( sorry Angela we eat so much ). We are planning our next trip back in a few weeks and we plan a few more stays next year. I think we will hold a record soon for the most visits in one year! You have got to try this b&b it's fantastic and we can not say enough good things, just try it for yourself you will not be disappointed. Plus your dog's will won't to stay a bit longer. Counting the weeks before we go back . FANTASTIC!!!!

Room Tip: all rooms are fantastic

We go here regularly as Angela and Roger are totally dog friendly. The rooms are nicely decorated and all have a balcony. Breakfast is fab with locally sourced ingredients and fresh eggs from Angels and Rogers own chickens. Absolutely LOVE this place. It's a short walk into Saundersfoot where there are some lovely reataurents.

Gorgeous location tucked away down a tiny lane with next to no traffic, sea and countryside views, totally safe for your dogs who are free to roam around. We had a 15 week well trained puppy who loved the stay, was lovely to watch her roam from the breakfast room in the morning. What a breakfast, struggled to finish the superb feast which set us up for the day! Loved the rear bedroom with it's large balcony, slept with the patio doors open, was a lovely atmosphere, clean and very roomy even with two dogs with us. Literally 10 minutes downhill walk on a track to Saundersfoot where you can walk on the beach with the dogs. Angela and Roger delightful hosts, good sense of humour, even dried my soaking wet trousers in the tumbledrier, they loved the dogs, we so enjoyed our very short stay of two nights that we are going to book for a week and explore the area. Perfect break!

Room Tip: Rear room overlooks the garden and sunset in the evening, front two rooms overlook the driveway and...

We had an overnight stay at Moreton House and wish we could've stayed longer. Angela and Roger made us feel very welcome with their relaxed and friendly manner. You really get the feeling you are a guest at their house and nothing is too much bother for them. Great location with the town a short walk away. Our room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. There is an added bonus of being able to use an external kitchen and BBQ area if you so wish. The main attraction for us was the 'dog friendly' status; with two resident hounds, our pooch was unfazed and settled in well. Dogs are permitted in all areas, which for us was good news. Towels are provided for the dogs and were well appreciated. As any responsible owner would act; there is a bin for the inevitable 'pooch products' in the garden, which is very well maintained. Goats and horses nearby together with chickens slightly further afield, the latter providing excellent breakfast fodder (eggs not themselves)! Speaking of the breakfast, everything local and delicious. Great place, very friendly welcome and we'll definitely return.
