“Excellent food and welcome”
Reviewed 1 April 2013

As a couple we love the Captains Table. Whenever we go to Saundersfoot, we are regular visitors. We sometimes just go for a drink in the bar, but also regularly have a meal in the restaurant. The food is excellent and is value for money also. The bar itself is basically furnished, but is very comfortable. The have a huge range of beers and spirits and because we are sports fans, their coverage of every sport is second to none in the village. They also have a pool table and drats board seperate from the bar and restaurant and for me it caters for everything. This is our favourite place to go everytime we are in Saundersfoot.

“Nice pub with good value food.”
Reviewed 16 March 2013

We were staying in Saundersfoot for a few days so sampled the various pubs in the village, The Captain's Table had the pleasure of our company a couple of times! The bar was a nice place to sit and have a drink and a chat, locals and staff were friendly, 1 local in particular advised us that June/July is a much better time to visit the area as the weather isn't quite so severe, I think we had a wind chill of about -5 but the pub was welcoming and warm. We had dinner there on 1 night and thoroughly enjoyed it, we ordered from the specials board which was varied and very reasonably priced £6.95/£7.95 for our meals, generous portions seem to be the done thing in Saunderfoot. Very nice beer garden over looking the harbour, great for the summertime.

Hi
Thank you for your review. You were unlucky to experience such cold weather. We have a warm local micro climate usually. I'm glad we provided an experience to make up for the cold weather. We hope to see you again soon.

“Another wet day!”
Reviewed 30 November 2012 via mobile

We stopped here on our way back from Pembroke for Sunday lunch. Staff very welcoming. We had roast lamb with all the trimmings which was nicely presented, well served & adequate. The restaurant was practically full which speaks for itself. Everywhere was ckean & tidy & we enjoyed our visit.

“Good Pub”

Had a real local feel, including a sense that we were not one of those that use the bar. the bar staff were excellent and sitting outside was great. A great big bowl of chips was most welcome.

“Excellent Sunday Roast”
Reviewed 19 October 2012

Had a delicious roast beef sunday lunch and plenty of fresh vegetables, the meat is sourced locally and was very tender. Great location as it was good to take a walk on the beach after.
