We have stayed three times since Mark and Nicole started running the hotel and always find our stay most conducive. Particularly appealing is the friendly, personal touch they apply to everything, from the very first welcome onwards. Nicole's cooking is of a particularly high standard; the home-baked continental breakfast is well worth a try. Mark keeps the garden beautifully maintained. The pets - two dogs and a cat - also keep the guests highly amused. The free car parking is a bonus. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Stayed here in 2010 and returned again this year as The Woodlands is just such a lovely place to chill out in. Mark and Nicole are fantastic hosts very friendly and helpful nothing is to much trouble for them. The breakfast is lush especially the bacon and mushrooms there is so much choice and its a good start to the day. We cant wait to return in 2012. Lots of places to visit close by and some excellent walks a must place to stay. Thanks guys for a fab wk xx Tracey and Jo :0)

Well ,what a nice place to stay , found the Woodlands on the net and gave them a try , four of us really enjoyed the comfortable clean rooms and the service was second to none , my job takes me all around the country ,often staying away overnight and i have seen a lot of so-so places that are not so good as advertised , this place opened my eyes its stands up to everything it says on the label and more ,its spotless and very comfortable , now the best bit --------- the breakfast is to die for , i have eaten breakfast just about everwhere on these shores but i will tell you this is the best i have ever had by a country mile , you wont beat it ,it kept us going all day without refuelling and we have healthy appettites too , Nicole gave really useful information about local services and she was spot on , parking was a bonus too , i thoroughly recommend this hotel , it would be very hard to find a better one , thank you for looking after our needs ,much appreciated , Jim n Kim H , Andy n Laura C .

Very nice, friendly, family run hotel. Great food. Lovely garden, we loved throwing the ball for the hotel's border collies after breakfast.
A nice location a short walk out of town up quite a steep hill.
We would recommend staying here.

Room Tip: Larger suites at front for an extra cost, but we found the standard rooms fine.

Once again a brilliant week's stay at the Woodlands Hotel with the usual warm welcome and friendly hospitality, the breakfast will set you up for the whole day with an excellent choice and very efficient service ranging from cereals and fruit, full welsh, croissants or just beans on toast. And then after a busy day enjoy an evening meal lovingly prepared by Nicole(especially the t-rex size spare ribs or a special salad!!) and I will guarantee you will retire to your well appointed room sated and ready for the next day whether its a day on the beach, a walk along the stunning pembrokeshire coastal path or trip to one of the many nearby attractions and coastal resorts, whichever you choose this hotel is the perfect choice.
We came across this hotel a couple of years ago and have made it a priority to return each year, it provides the perfect base to explore the area and when you return from the beach or day trip, chillax in the fantastic garden among the plants and flowers expertly maintained by Mark whilst enjoying a beverage or two from the well stocked bar!!
And once in the garden don't be surprised if you are embroiled in a game of fetch and catch with the cutest, best behaved and quietest dogs you could meet!
This is a gem of a family friendly hotel within easy walking distance of the Saundersfoot beaches. Thanks again

This was my wife & I's 4th stay at the Woodlands in a beautiful part of the Pembrokeshire National park, Saundersfoot. Mine hosts Mark & Nicole as friendly & welcoming as ever. Nothing is too much trouble. Stayed in room 10, on this visit, that overlooks a gorgeous well stocked rear garden that has plenty of room for morning exercise with the collies Gypsy & Indi after a large Welsh breakfast. Good breakfast choice with plenty of variety. All accomodation, dining room, TV lounge & bar area are spotless. Plenty of free parking at the front of the hotel. A 3 minute walk down the lane opposite the Hotel to the beach from where you can walk around to Saundersfoot Harbour & thence into the village. Alternatively walk down the road into the beautiful village of Sandersfoot. We use our stays at the Woodlands as a base for visiting surrounding beauty spots such as Barafundle Bay, Bosherston Lily Ponds, Newgale & St Davids..Plenty of information in the Hotel for where to go & what to do as an alternative to relaxing on the beach. I/we would recommend this Hotel to any one who requires good accomodation, excellent food & a welcoming atmosphere at a reasonable price.

Room Tip: Make Mark & Nicole aware of your requirements. They will oblige if possible.

We have just come back from Saundersfoot and stayed at the Woodlands Hotel. Nicole and Mark made us very welcome when we arrived, our room was overlooking the beautiful garden and it was very clean and comfortable, the decor was traditional, the breakfast was fantastic, one of the best we have had. The only thing for me was that although the hotel was only a few hundred yards from the harbour, village centre and beaches it was located on a very steep hill which as a person who has problems with arthritis and mobility I could not climb the hill, so we had to go out in the car all the time, I did give it a try on the first night before I realised quite how steep it was and it almost killed me walking back up!! I had to stop several times to get my breath and to rest. Having said that if you are fit and healthy it would be no problem and many people were walking up and down the hill without any trouble, just be warned if you have mobility problems, because I had not realised quite how steep and inaccessible for me, it would be. We did enjoy our stay at the Woodlands and loved playing with the owners dogs in the garden, we would return and would recommend it to others wholeheartedly.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the garden which was beautiful, the front rooms offer a partial seaview though I...
