There are plenty of B&B's that offer a high level of service, are clean and provide a good hearty breakfast. Sevenford House is all of that and more.

In our opinion, what made Ian and Linda's home stand out even more were the spacious rooms with large windows, extremely comfortable Queen size bed and the lovely guest lounge-room where one could relax and read a good book. This is a definite bonus when you are away from home for a lengthy period or it is raining during the day! The only small point in our front double room which can't be changed - remember this a 100 year plus old house - is that the en-suite shower is the standard size (compact) which is OK for smaller people. However, the water is hot and plentiful.

The view across the Rosedale Valley is one of England's finest and if you love both walking and superb scenery this is an ideal base location. The nearby White Horse Inn also has a very good restaurant and bar which we frequented several nights and were not disappointed.

Have already recommended Sevonford House to friends and family and will absolutely stay next time in the area. Thankyou Ian and Linda for making your beautiful home accessible to the public.

Room Tip: Back rooms have the view of the valley, front/side rooms of the garden. All good.

We've been to Sevenford 5 times now and will go back again. The property is lovely, in beautiful surroundings. Linda and Ian are a super couple who always find time for a chat to guests. There is lots to do in the area and some good food to be found. We highly recommend a visit.

Arriving at Sevenford in evening sunshine was a delight. It overlooks a patchwork hillside of fields and woodland - fresh, green and peaceful - and guest rooms all enjoy restful views. This pleasure was continued and enhanced by excellent hospitality - Linda and Ian go 'the extra mile' for their guests in many different ways - their approach is friendly, helpful and informative but never intrusive. The house is gracious, but in a comfortably welcoming way,the housekeeping meticulous, the beds excellent and the breakfasts delicious! As well as many walking/cycling opportunities, the House information table indicates the suprising number of things to see/do, often well within an hour's drive - moorland and coast, picturesque pantiled villages, museums, houses, and gardens, and of course the North Yorks Moors railway! Equally the Yorkshire hostelries, several within easy reach, offer tasty and ample fare with attentive service. The charm and relaxation of Sevenford has us enthralled - it really feels like home from home so I know we'll be back!

We stayed at Sevenfold House for a friends wedding, which was being hosted at the White Horse Inn, Rosedale. We received a warm welcome from the very charming owners, and our room was superb - windows on two sides so we could see right down and across Rosedale. The breakfast was fabulous as was the hospitality throughout our stay - even when we came back at 1am and had been locked out by another guest! Thoroughly recommended - a tremendous location, quality accommodation, and wonderful hosts.

Staying at Sevenford House was one of the highlights of our month-long holiday in the UK. Having spent a week in the pictureque but touristy Cotswolds, we were looking forward to spending time somwhere a little more remote. Sevenford House was the perfect choice, perched as it is between the wonderful dales and moors in North Yorshire. The old stone house is rather grand but extremely comfortable. Our room, with its king-sized bed, had large windows which offered wonderful views over the bucolic landscape which we were keen to explore on foot. Our host, Ian, suggested a terrific4-hour walk that began on the track that ran past the house through farmland and up onto the moors where we enjoyed lunch at a memorable medieval pub before returning via an disused railway line (a cinder track). Adding to the overall experience was a spacious shard lounge room, a generous breakfast and a pub, within easy walking distance, that had reasonable fare for evening meals.

Room Tip: Ask for the one with the king-sized bed,
