Collected promptly from the Lion by Ian. We were served a welcoming pot of tea and biscuits. We enjoyed a well appointed room with excellent rural views. Ian booked a table for us at the local pub, this served an excellent evening meal which was a welcome change from the normal pub fare available on the route. We were offered a lift to and from the pub, but enjoyed the short walk both ways. Breakfast was a treat with a wide selection of fresh fruit as well as the usual cereals, cooked food and toast. Ian then returned us to the Lion to continue our walk.

My husband and I spent one night at this wonderful b&b. Linda and Ian were perfect hosts. The house and Rosedale are beautiful. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. We slept so well that we almost missed breakfast! It was great to see lots of different fruit, yoghurts and cereals at breakfast along with choice of cooked ingredients. Ian rang local pub, the white horse to book us in for dinner - this was also good. Would definitely recommend and hopefully stay again.

We have just spent 2 days B & B at Sevenford House, near Rosedale Abbey. This was a gift from our son and his partner and what excellent taste they have. The setting is spectacular, the view from our room was amazing and during the evening/night it was so quiet. The house is home to some fabulous furniture which fits in perfectly with the grandeur of it's surroundings. Linda and Ian were exceptionally welcoming and nothing appeared to be too much trouble. Breakfast was very good, loads of choice and for our evening meals we took a stroll down to the local pub - The White Horse Farm Hotel - another good choice.

What a beautiful place with lovely hosts. We arrived to be greeted with tea and biscuits on the patio of a lovely garden. Certainly a good way to start a break away from busy lives! This place is so peaceful; it is as if you are in another world. As we booked very last minute, we stayed in the smallest room, but the stunning views more than make up for the small space. Besides, the room is perfectly arranged with everything you need. Breakfast is tasty and served in a beautiful dining room. The hosts, Linda and Ian, are on hand with hints of where to eat and visit and have definitely worked hard to make this B&B the special place that it is. Would love to return and for a longer stay.

We have just returned from a four night stay here. The position of Sevenford House is idyllic and peaceful - not a sound can be heard at night, even from neighbouring rooms. The house was originally built for the local vicar with large rooms and high ceilings and the owners have ensured that it is sympathetically decorated and furnished while every modern comfort is to hand. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious.
What really made our stay so great though was the owners. Ian and Linda go above and beyond the call of duty in ensuring the comfort and well-being of their guests. Their advice and local knowledge, including places to visit and insider knowledge on good places to park were very much appreciated. We would never have considered visiting Laurence Sterne's house without their suggestion for example.
We will certainly be returning!
