We stayed for two nights at the bed and breakfast accomodation finding it a perfect base for walking in the area. The hosts could not have been friendlier and breakfast in the farm house is delightful. Worthy of its high rating.

We have just spent five wonderful relaxing days at Rawcliffe House Farm. Our hosts Duncan and Jan are the nicest people you could wish to meet and our accommodation "Gowland" was roomy , spotless and very comfortable. A perfect break in beautiful surroundings. Breakfasts were excellent.

This was our first visit but certainly will not be our last. We were staying in Cloth Fair Cottage (the disabled one) and it was really very comfortable. The scenery is fab and it's lovely just to sit outside and watch the sun go down. There are lots of fields to walk through and Duncan and Jan have thoughfully created a path to guide you. They are the perfect hosts and nothing is too much trouble.

Peaceful location. Nice to be able to wander through the fields that surround the accommodation. Stayed in one of the B&B rooms. Good size room, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast very good and Jan & Duncan very welcoming hosts. Despite the lack of sunshine we had a very enjoyable stay and will return next time we are up in Yorkshire. Nice pubs in Newton, Cropton & Lastingham.

Having stayed in B&B / Self Catering accommodation many times, I have stayed in none better than Rawcliffe House Farm. The farm is an excellent base for visiting the coast, moors and Dales but the location is so peacefuly located in the countryside that you may prefer the numerous walks and wildlife.

Jan and Ducan could not be more welcoming as your hosts and the breakfasts will last you well into the day when you can then visit the local pub which provides simple but well cooked meals.

The rooms are imaculatey clean and very well equiped, there is also a relaxing courtyard outside the rooms where you can sit and take in the scenery.

Top Quality!

Another lovely stay at Jan and Duncan's. 6 of us stayed in the 3 B&B rooms for the weekend and had a very enjoyable time. The breakfast is second to none with fresh local produce on the menu every day.

The setting is beautiful and after staying before (each time being in February in the snow), this was the first time we saw the area in sunshine. Very relaxing to sit outside in the evening just looking over the scenery with a cold drink!

Will definitely be back.
