Our second visit in a year and the stay was just as good as before. Beautiful clean rooms, lovely conservatory, superb breakfast and delicious home made lemon drizzle cake on arrival.

Debbie is really friendly and could not do enough for us including an early breakfast so that we could catch the first train and evening meal booked at the local Indian.

If you can find a better B & B in Yorkshire you are very lucky.

We will be back!

We picked Ashfield House from the internet for a 2 night break. It looked really good on their website and did not disappoint in real life.
We had a lovely warm welcome from Debbie and sat down to tea, coffee and lemon drizzle cake, wonderful.
The bedrooms are first class with everything you could hope for. Large comfy bed, tv, tea & coffee making facilities with biscuits, mineral water and crisps and a welcome bag of chocolates provided.
The ensuite was well appointed and a good size, with a great power shower. If only all B&B's were the same !!.
The breakfast was excellent. A buffet table with cereals of all sorts, fresh fruit salad with greek yogurt and home made fruit compote. Then to follow the full English was a real feast, but with a variety of other options available.
There are also 2 well equipped resident lounges, one in the fabulous conservatory and one in the main house
It would be a pleasure to visit again.

This is a superb B and B in a new house, with fantastic furnishings and facilities, and loads of space. About five minutes easy walk from Pickering centre, it is in an ideal location because there is absolutely no traffic noise. The highlight for us was the extensive lounge/ conservatory area where we could spend any time of day...and which was ideal for a couple of hours relaxing after dinner out.
Debbie keeps the place spotless and the breakfast is a real pleasure, with a wide choice of cereals, fruit, preserves and cooked options.

Impossible to fault

We spent two nights at Ashfield House and were so glad that we did. Having no idea where to stay in Pickering, we looked up Trip Advisor and chose the No.1 rating 1 B&B. If ever a place deserved its ranking, Ashfield House is the one. Everthing was wonderful, with spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable luxury accommodation in a beautiful home with absolutely every detail and need attended to by our lovely host, Debbie. She immediately put us at our ease and nothing was too much trouble, from a welcoming cup of tea with straight from the oven lemon cake to booking us into our restaurant of choice, Figaro's. The house is airy and bright with a very inviting guest lounge that has an interesting reading choice as well as a fabulous conservatory where breakfast is served. It looks out to a very pretty garden area with loads of bird life and little squirrels who are quite entertaining. Breakfast was relaxing and delicious with a wide variety of choices from light cereals, yogurts and fruits to heartier full breakfast meals. Pickering town centre is within easy walking distance and there is private car parking space at the house, which is a big plus. Ashfield House was the perfect stay for us and I do hope we get the chance to visit agaIn. You could not choose better.

Thank you for your lovely review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. The wildlife in the garden is great to watch while waiting for breakfast, we are getting lots of starlings at the moment and they will soon be bringing their young to feed. Hope to see you again next time you are in England.

This is rated the No.1 B&B in Pickering and it fully deserves this rating. We were impressed at the outset with Debbie's warm welcome with tea and excellent home made lemon drizzle cake to the outstanding room accomodation and guest lounges. Breakfast lived up to our expectations with a wide selection on offer and we can recommend the beautiful freshly laid eggs! Ashfield House is well located in central Pickering yet offers the feeling of tranquility and seclusion as well as good off road parking facilities. This is certainly one we will visit again.
