“Gobsmacked”

Gobsmacked because I am finding it difficult to find any adjectives to praise Ashfield House that have not been used already. Myself and my wife, Anita, have just spent a long weekend at Debbie & Tommy's b&b and we wish we could have moved-in permanently. The accommodation, breakfast, facilities and Debbie's lovely hospitality are the best we have ever experienced or are ever likely to experience. She could not do enough for us. A rating well above 5 star needs to be introduced to adequately rate this experience.
We sincerely hope we can arrange to return in the near future - (if there are any vacancies!)
Debbie & Tommy - you are doing a fantastic job.

Spent two nights in the Coastal Room. Lovely clean and fresh building with plenty of supplies upon arriving such as local chocolates and biscuits. Spacious room and lovely bathroom. The shower was excellent. Nice fast WiFi and TV with large selection of channels. Breakfast was a grand affair with a choice of cereals to choose from first. The hosts then come and order drinks (Fruit juice, coffee or tea) and what you would like for your fried breakfast. The usual options are available and are served in very generous portions. Toast is available afterwards along with the option of miniature croissants with melted chocolate. I didn't get the chance to try these but am sure they would be delicious!
The house is located about five minutes walk away from Pickering town centre where there is a large choice of good restaurants and pubs along with many other shops, all with a local feel.

Overall a very pleasant stay with no problems whatsoever. Would definitely stay at again if in the area.

We have just stayed at Ashfield House over the Easter weekend and can only say positive things about it. Debbie is a marvellous hostess, she has thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Her breakfast is one of the best, if not the best, we've had at any b&b or hotel with excellent choices and all freshly cooked. Everything is spotlessly clean, I can fully understand why Ashfield House has a Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence. This was our second visit and we're already planning a third.

Thank you for your lovely review, it was so nice to welcome you back again for your second visit. We are so pleased you enjoyed your breakfasts, as you know all of our food is freshly prepared and cooked to order and of course having fresh eggs everyday from our own hens adds to the quality. Looking forward to welcoming both of you back soon.

We have just returned from a lovely long weekend at Ashfield House. The hospitality was excellent and our room luxurious and spacious. Great attention to detail. We enjoyed breakfast every morning in the sun filled conservatory overlooking the wildlife garden. The centre of Pickering is a pleasant 10 minute stroll and a great base from which to explore the Moors. Definitely recommended.

Thank you for your kind words, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay and found your room spacious and comfortable, the wildflower meadow is coming into it's own now, it is lovely to see the pheasants appearing in front of the conservatory windows. We are inundated with young starlings at the moment eating us out of house and home! Lot's of blue tits, goldfinches and greenfinches too among the fray. Hope to see you again in the future.

We stayed recently for the fourth time taking my brother Roger with us. It is superb, breakfast is out of this world, tremendous choice, fresh fruit, compote, great Yorkshire breakfast, superbly cooked and with a choice of warm croissant with melted chocolate afterwards, we could hardly move.

Debbie is brilliant, makes you feel at home, books the evening restaurant and freezes our kippers, the wildlife outside the conservatory is beautiful and the rooms are large, comfortable and quiet. All within easy walking of the town and railway,

We will be back for the fifth time

Thanks Debbie

Room Tip: Both are excellent

A beautiful and truly luxurious house. Everything about it says quality. Tommy and Debbie made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We were served lemon drizzle cake on arrival which was gorgeous. The house is situated about 10 minutes walk from the town in a quiet location. Breakfast was served in the conservatory where we could watch the many different birds feeding and on occasions watched a squirrel trying to steal the bird food, very entertaining. Would definitely recommend.

Thank you for your lovely review and kind comments about our lemon drizzle cake! We are pleased you enjoyed watching the birds and cheeky squirrel on the feeders, no matter how much squirrel food we put out this one seems to like sunflowers seeds best. We look forward to welcoming you again in the future.
