I stayed at this lovely Inn on the edge of the moors for 3 nights with a friend and our respective daughters aged 12 and 15. We arrived to a warm welcome and the rooms were clean and well decorated - OK they are not 5 star in appearance, but then this is not a 5 star hotel.... they were well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer etc. The hotel staff were more than happy to top up the provisions as many times as we asked. On arrival we had mints on the pillow which was a nice touch. The food was good and we had Dinner,B&B for the whole of the stay. Again the service was friendly and accommodating and they were happy to be flexible on the evening meal menu to suit our needs, which was great with a picky 12 year old eating! The breakfast provided a lot of choice and the food well was cooked on the whole.
The hotel has a fairly new manager, and he is very open to feedback as he clearly wishes to improve on what is already a great little retreat.
We would certainly go back again if the occasion arose!More
