Booked 3 bikes in advance for half a day by phone. On arriving some 5 days later there was no sign of the booking; this despite proving all details required including frame size etc.
Young staff issued bikes. One size clearly too small and seats adjusted incorrectly which prompted self adjustment. No explanation or tuition on gears or bike handling. Unprofessional and poor service. Very disappointed given Dalby's reputation.

“Love, love, love Dalby Forest....”
Reviewed 4 June 2014

Camped close by and set off into Forest for a mountain bike ride with kids - tackled the blue (intermediate) trail and found it was well marked out with just enough difficulty to keep us focused but not to put the kids off. We all really enjoyed our ride and cannot wait to return. The visitor centre staff were helpful and friendly and the cafe area looked nice. This is a beautiful part of the country which we love and we think Dalby Forest is well worth the entrance fee if you are coming in by car.

“First Time Cut Short”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

Went for a family day out to see what it was like. Must say the signage is very poor if you have not been before, you can miss it. We had just had our BBQ and letting the children play when one was taken ill and ended up in hospital. Recovered now, so we will have to go back another day and explore it's amenities. But from what time we had it looks like a good place for a day out.

“Lovely forest”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

We planned to go cycling in Dalby Forest one Friday, it was a little drizzly and misty but soon brightened up. There is a cycling guide available for £1 in the visitors centre, we weren't told that the cycle tracks started further down past another car park and the cycle hire shop so it took us a while to find the guided tracks. maybe more sign posts could be arranged to combat this? We started on a red route which was too challenging for our bikes and the wet weather, slightly dangerous we thought! We went onto blue and green routes which we exhilarating at times (hilly areas so downhills were speedy!!). Fabulous views and countryside. It was a quiet day there but enjoyable. Snacks and drinks available, cycle hire and shop too. The car park is £7 for the day

“Lovely place to chill or exercise”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

Loads of space for everyone, with great facilities. You can walk on the many trails (including a short circular lakeside one), mountain bike or play in the new fantastic wooden children's play area. There is also a second play area further into the forest and a great enchanted wood just waiting to be entered...

You just need to pay to take your vehicle in and the rest is free. If you are not feeling adventurous then there are plenty of roads for a leisurely drive around and a cafe.
