Description: The newly refurbished Royal Bar and Hotel. A family friendly seafront bar with a wide range of fine wines and cask ales. We also offer a fantastic food menu. All food is homemade by our head chef Roy Curragh. Come and join us in our elegant upstairs dining room with spectacular views overlooking Morecambe Bay

Good service in the bar and a warm welcome. If you are just having a drink then worth a visit. The food started well we both had potted shrimp which was good. The main courses were more size than substance, very standard cheap pub food. If you just need filling up then fine but if you want great tasting food then perhaps give this a miss.

On a lovely Sunday we chose The Royal on Morecambe prom to celebrate a family birthday.
The Royal is a pub with rooms and a restaurant upstairs that affords fantastic views across Morecambe Bay.
Staff we're very welcoming as we were shown to our table in the window upstairs. The menu is concise but with a good traditional choice of starters, mains and puddings - all offered at a very good price.
Our party of six enjoyed 2 courses each and highlights included a lovely homemade onion soup, excellent creamy garlic mushrooms, a huge Lamb Henry and tasty fish, chips and mushy peas.
There is a very good range of real ales and the wine list is acceptable.
Service was a little slow but this didn't spoil a lovely lunch.
Another good reason to visit Morecambe ...

Would not reccomend to anyone! The staff in this bar refused to serve drinks claiming the bar was closed but 5 minutes later served othersthen stated that management wouldn`t serve our kind! A group of young men then approached ourselves claiming to part of management and stated due to who we are and our race that we better leave or they was going to be trouble! As we came in for a quite drink we left !

If your looking for a good hotel in Morecambe try the Midland if your looking for a cheap hotel try the Travelodge as its relatively new

Went here for a few. Fab beers and spirits. Go and enjoy this great sea front pub. Don't worry about some of the clientele.

The food and service is great. Home cooked pie and loads of it with plenty of veg. As I enjoy a sweet, its a shame I couldnt fit one in. Good choice of small brewery real ales as well
