I came to stay with you for 4 days with my owners , I really enjoyed it being able to sleep in the same room but sadly they wont let me at home , I loved my room and my owners loved their breakfast . You were both so nice to us and even cleaned my owners boot when she made a mess on your lovely carpet ( She would have told me off ) I have told my mate Jake the parrot about you and he wants to come next time.
Best Wishes Lex

We stayed at the Craigwell for the weekend in January as we were visiting family nearby, and we chose the Craigwell as we had a dog Maggie with us. We had the suite on the top floor and my father had one of the smaller rooms on the 1st floor, both had great views of the sea. Gill and Jim were very welcoming and the breakfasts were amazing every morning. Maggie loved Gill and Jim's new dog, a lolleping great "puppy" with the longest legs. Maggie also loved running on the beach every morning as did I.
Despite a weekend of the most appaling weather, it was fantastic sitting in front of the window in the evening watching the huge waves roll in from the warmth and comfort of our top floor viewpoint. The rooms are very clean and and the beds comfortable. We would definately stay here again when next visiting family.

Room Tip: Top Floor suite is huge with a king size bed and a single. Plenty of space and fantastic views

This is the second time we have stayed and this b&b is immaculate in every way. The rooms are done to a high standard and the breakfast is also made with quality ingredients cooked to perfection. I would recommend a stay to anyone.

We planned this break to be able to see some of the spectacular tides which occur in Morecambe bay, we were not disappointed with the Craigwell, a lovely warm welcoming place, very friendly owners and staff. We chose the top floor suite, as it has lovely uninterrupted views across the bay, and even the weather held up, for the most interesting of experiences to see the swirling fast flowing tides.

The room was lovely and comfortable, with a nice hot shower bathroom, toiletries and tea, coffee making facilities. Very comfy beds and good blinds and curtains, double glazed windows also made it nice and snug.
Our pet Pippa was made welcome and she enjoyed the nice sandy beach just yards in front of the hotel.

Breakfast was really good, plenty on offer and the owners could not have been more helpful in offering any advice on where to eat evening meals etc. We chose the Blue Mountain restaurant, which is about half a mile up the prom, but we walked it as there is a lovely path beside the sea all the way around the sea front area.

Would recommend this place to anyone.

Room Tip: Choose the top floor for quiet and great views across the bay

Myself and 2 friends stayed in late May 2013. Very clean, well appointed rooms with great breakfast. Excellent lock-up for cycles. Re-ignited my faith for the English B&B. This was a great start of 3 days on the Way of the Roses Many thanks.

My husband and our two dogs stayed two nights. Stunning views from the room which overlooked the sea. The room was very comfortable with nice bedding and towels. Breakfast, which was perfect, was served with such friendliness of the owners; such a change from the hotel environment! Walking was perfect as you are straight onto to the beach or promenade. Shops, pubs and restaurants only 10 minutes walk away

Room Tip: room 10 has good views

I spent 2 nights at The Craigwell at the beginning of September and once again, cannot rate the experience too highly. From their "green" policy to the marvellous home-cooked breakfasts, from the cleanliness of my room to the stunning views across the bay, everything was designed to make my stay perfect. I can't wait to go back again.

Room Tip: Ones at the front of the hotel with a view across the bay are the best.
