We spent four nights in this wonderful place doing some family history research and visiting some of the many great houses and gardens in the area. They call it a cottage, but Mandy and Graham make it a palace, and we were treated like kings. Nothing was too much trouble for them - they recommended places to visit and pubs to eat at, and Graham even telephoned for us to make bookings when he thought it might be necessary (it was a Bank Holiday weekend). He makes a great waiter at breakfast, too!
The breakfasts were fantastic, with all local produce, and Mandy's cakes, served with a large pot of tea when we arrived and every afternoon when we returned from our adventures were also wonderful. Our hosts had time to chat with us, and we really felt we were among friends.
