Oh this is the place to be - what an absolutely superb place to visit and stay! We had the room over the garage - which has it's own outside stair access and security coded door - once that door is open - you have such a beautiful room awaiting you with everything - and more to make your stay just perfect. This particular room is used for dog owners, but don't let that make you think it is anything less than perfect. From the spectacular view over the Dyfi Estuary, to the mixture of antique and modern decor used throughout the room and bathroom - your stay just has to be perfect. Breakfast is just perfection, Linda, your hostess makes you so very welcome from the moment you arrive to the second you leave - just everything you might want for breakfast is available, just sit down and enjoy being pampered. We will return I assure you! This is just what bed and breakfast should be - 5 star all the way and well earned too.

I stayed at the Brigydon along with my boyfriend during December last year whilst visiting family in the area.
When we arrived we were greeted by our hosts Nigel, Linda and family who invited us into the house. The house was beautifully decorated, immaculate and had a lovely Christmas touch.
Shortly after arriving we shown our room, which was an annex attached to the house.
The room was immaculate with modern, contemporary furnishings and an en suite bathroom with walk in shower. The bed in the room was so large and comfortable that sleeping was a dream.
We enjoyed a cup of tea from the Tea and Coffee making facilities within the room whilst enjoying the spectacular views from the large window which overlooks the bay and surrounding areas. You would not get this view in any other hotel or B&B.
The following morning we enjoyed breakfast in the main house. This was cooked fresh for us, and the selection on offer was plentiful.
Would I recommend this Bed and Breakfast?
Yes, I definitely would. This is by far the best Bed and Breakfast that I have stayed in.

My husband and I stayed at Brigydon at the end of April / beginning of May for a few days and had a wonderful stay!

Linda and Nigel (the hosts and owners) greeted us warmly and welcomed us to our beautiful, modern, large and clean room. The room has an incredible view and the two comfortable sofas give you a perfect vantage point to watch the world go by. The room also comes with a large and clean ensuite bathroom with a huge shower.

After reading reviews on here (and being a foody) I was looking forward to the breakfast. It certainly didn't let us down. My husband had a large English breakfast every morning while I opted for the delicious eggs Benedict. The food is beautifully cooked and set us up for a great day. If you're not a big cooked breakfast fan you have plenty of other choices and Linda will do her up most to cater for anything you would like. Linda puts on a selection of fresh fruit, cereals and breads that will make you very happy.

I can't recommend Brigydon highly enough. We have traveled all over the world and we will definitely be back to, what we think, is the best five star B&B we have ever stayed in!

Room Tip: Linda and Nigel are happy for you to park your car on site all day - even the day you leave (if you...

Not as many good things about this B&B as we had expected from the reviews. We had the room over the garage with two comfortable chairs to admire the spectacular view over the estuary. The bedroom and bathroom are a good size, but no wardrobe just some coathangers on an inconvient wall. The cooked breakfast was freshly made, hot and tasty, the hollandaise sauce on the eggs benedict had far too much vinegar and the sausages were overcooked. There was also fresh fruit, yoghurt and cereals.
For a 5* Gold graded B&B the attention to detail was lacking, the bathroom bin was full when we arrived, the bathroom was in need of a good clean, the bedroom smelt of wet dog, the tv reception was poor, the radiators were cold in the the morning, the one small slice of cake was dry and stale, the wi-fi only works in the dining room to which we only had access in the morning for our 30 minute breakfast slot. Don't expect a quiet, relaxing breakfast - the television is blaring from the kitchen and the radio is competing in the dining room. Don't linger over breakfast, we were asked to take our coffee into the cold and windy garden to finish as the next guests were waiting for the only table. And when I'm on holiday, I don't want to listen to the owner's local gossip about the tragic death of a small girl. Finally we were charged a higher price to what we were quoted.

Greeted with a warm welcome from Linda and Nigel, Brig y Don owners - I knew I couldn't have chosen a more beautiful spot in Aberdovey to stay. The attention to details - the cake upon arrival, and the rooms throughout are beautiful - my own with a view overlooking the Dovey Estuary - watching sunrise to sunset - there really is no better way to spend a relaxing break away.

The breakfasts were amazing (three courses and more if you wished) - delicious organic fruit and local produce - without a doubt a 5-star service!

Large powerful shower, modern facilities and very well appointed - a real luxury retreat. Most definitely highly recommended.

Spent two lovely nights at Brigydon, Room was excellent with a separate entrance and fantastic view over the Dovey estuary. Breakfast was superb with locally sourced products. Couldn't really ask for any better anywhere.
