“A Night Out With Friends”
Reviewed 26 March 2014

The Pharoahs Cellar Bar was a new experience for myself and friends during our visit to Aberdovey this year and we were not disappointed with the food or the service. The staff are very friendly, helpful and make you feel welcome. The food was excellent and it was accompanied with a very nice wine.It is a small restaurant but you do not feel cramped and the atmosphere is very good.
If you are in a group or just a couple this is a very nice restaurant to visit during your stay in Aberdovey.
I am sure we will return in the near future for more delightful food and wine.

“Homely, home made and hospitable !”
Reviewed 23 March 2014

Went here last year at beginning of season, they are closed in winter but re open spring.
Lovely owners, very welcoming and chatty. As a noisy group was in, the owner Marj asked us if we wanted to be seated in a quieter corner of the Bistro, our drinks were brought swiftly, my husband a real ale drinker was pleased as Marj had a selection of ales not just lagers etc. We had amazing starters , home made soup and my husband had pasta with freshly grated parmesan, he said his pasta was delicious. My husband had steak for mains, it was slightly underdone as he asked for medium, but we asked the waitress to cook it a little more it was no trouble and they even offered another portion of fresh vegetables and pepper sauce. I had monkfish, it was delicious.
Would recommend Bistro, lovely atmosphere and great service, a must after a long days walking !!!

“Tasty but expensive”
Reviewed 6 November 2013 via mobile

We enjoyed our meal but were quite surprised by the prices, especially as the mains didn't come with any sides, which had to be bought separately.

“Two delicious meals”
Reviewed 29 October 2013

Four of us were staying in Aberdovey for a golfing trip and, though we usually eat somewhere different each evening, on this occasion we ate here twice; it was that good! The menu is interesting with a good choice of starters, mains and desserts; a quite good selection of wines and the service was very good. Thank you.

“Great service and fine food”
Reviewed 14 September 2013

Management and staff went out of their way to accommodate our family even though they were very busy and we hadn't booked. Food was really tasty and even the children loved the meal. You have to try the death by chocolate.....it's huge so make sure you share between 3!
