Stayed here for wedding in July. Owner Paluine couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome and even organised aspects of our holiday!! ( stayed for a week). From booking our taxi from and to airport, organising a hairdresser for me for wedding and even booking tickets for Titanic and paying on her credit card!!! Genuine kindness and 5 star service!! Amazing breakfast! Esp loved the guiness bread! Loved Bangor and hope to return to Hargreaves house!

First time in Bangor, Pauline was welcoming and chatty and also very helpful recommendation's for places to eat, drink and visit. Nice comfortable bedroom and very clean. Everytime we saw Pauline she would ask how we were and what we thought to places we visited. At breakfast the food came out nice and hot and was delicious!! With fresh strawberries and yogurt. The dining room was different to many b&bs as we sat at one large dining table which I wasn't too sure about at first but then I liked the idea because it makes you be more sociable at breakfast and is a good way to meet new and interesting people and chat away and tell stories and I enjoyed doing that, it felt very relaxed at breakfast and the table was laid out lovely for us. Very satisfied!

This is not just a B & B, this is personalised service at its best. I was looking for somewhere that would suit our whole family, this includes my not so young two children and my mother who is 87 years old. Hargreaves House looked to be the perfect place, the inclusion of a ground floor bedroom with on-suite shower made the place ideal for my mother and the location within easy walking distance of amenites and nightlife great for everyone else.
We were visiting Bangor to attend a family wedding, Pauline organised a hairdresser to come and fix the ladies hair on the day of the wedding, and it has to be said that if it wasn't for Pauline's help and organisation, we would not have got to the church on time.
Our rooms and breakfast were everything you would expect from service of this quality, freshly squeezed orange juice, superb!. Will definitely stay her again on our nexy visit to N. Ireland.

We stayed at Hargreaves House at the end of June for two nights, when we were in Northern Ireland for a 50th birthday party in nearby Donaghadee.

Pauline was the perfect hostess, making sure everything you needed was taken care of.
Bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast excellent.

Wouldn't hesitate in recommending Hargreaves House to anyone who asked.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights whilst in Bangor to see our new born grandson.
Although she had never met us before, Pauline opened a bottle of bubbly for us to celebrate and we had a lovely end to our first evening chatting. She could not have been more attentive and was always anxious to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Fresh towels each day, strawberries for breakfast, parking just outside the front door. Ideal.

My wife, daughter and myself recently stayed with Pauline in our first trip to Ireland. We could not have been treated more graciously and provided with every comfort. We were a bit anxious given this was our first trip to Ireland- not sure what to see, where to go, getting around etc. After we booked our room with Pauline, she called us over six times to help us with our planning- got us tickets to local events, made sure we knew directions and did everything she could well in advance of our arriving.
Upon arrival we were greeted by a hot cup of tea and Pauline's warm smile. The rooms were wonderful and the morning breakfasts superb. She made calls for us, introduced us to people who would help us with our trip and met and exceeded our every need. The town and location are perfect to see the surrounding sights. We could not be more pleased and will definitely stay again on our next visit. The highest marks to Pauline.
