Always worth a wee pop in for a visit in Bangor...quirky old fashioned wee pub (bit student like?!?) with lots too look at around the walls and a nice coal fire. Staff in the bar helpful and friendly. Toilets are a wee bit sad looking :-( Food was fresh and served well...always worth a wee visit

I've eaten here 4 times and have loved it. I've tried the grilled cod, ribs, chicken burger and roast beef - all delicious. The starter combo to share is great also. We got the combo, 2 mains, 2 pints and a soft drink for £35 quid - very reasonable. They also have great offers like half price ribs and mussells night. The staff are always very pleasant and genuine, I like the whole atmosphere.

The bar has a cosy atmosphere and is not too bright.

The staff are very friendly and even the door staff speak to you. (unlike many other places about the town).

Crowd are fairly well behaved with no rowdy scrubbers being allowed in. Dress code is relexed which is a good thing as I don't see why I should have to wear smart shoes to enjoy a beer. This place tends to cater for an older crowd so it isn't full of 17 year old taking photos of each other slamming shots.

The music is generally good- you don't hear the usual lady gaga garbage here though they could play a bit more electronic tunes as it seems to be all rock. A bit more of a mix would be nice.

They stock everything any other bar stocks and then some. They have smithwicks on tap which is great and also have a range of interesting beers from all round the world. The staff seem to know their beers which is always a plus when looking for something different. They do a great warm cider during the winter which is a must have/try. I don't drink anything other than beer and cider so I can't comment on the other drinks available.

The food is brilliant. I'd say their burgers are the best in town without question and I have tried burgers from everywhere. Soft bap and perfectly cooked meat. Reasonably priced too.

I am led to believe the ribs are good though I am not really a rib fan. The muscles are worth travelling for. Got to be the best muscles in Northern Ireland. On Mondays they are half price so are also seriously cheap.

This is a great place to go with friends though I would say if you were in Bangor and fancied a quick pint it would be the perfect option. It would make an ideal venue for Christmas lunches etc, especially if people in your group havn't tried this place before.

All in all 5/5 pub.
