This must be the worst hotel I have ever been to they run out of food when you do get food it is cold raw and processed don't complain as you have more chance of seeing Santa Claus than the manager staff are rude and are fond of back chat I and my friends will never be returning

Thanks Porsche987, for taking the time to post your comments on Trip. I believe you attended a recent dinner here at the Hotel and experienced a few problems during the course of the evening. I am somewhat bewildered by your critique of the evening as we have received numerous positive feedback highlighting the quality of the food and courteous service. So forgive me, if our team here at the Hotel cannot concur with your views on the overall experience.

Thanks Venezia 09, for taking the time to provide your very welcome feedback. The team here at the Hotel have worked hard to ensure a consistent mix of efficient service delivered in a professional, friendly, manner. Our team in the kitchen place a stong emphasis on seasonal produce with frequent changes to the menu. We look forward to welcoming you back for the Festive celebrations.

Thanks Sarah_Thompson2... for taking the time to record your helpful feedback. Having redeemed your prize it is great that you enjoyed the experience. A Sunday evening is a nice time to chill out and relax. We place a strong emphasis on our breakfast offering as we are aware that it can be the last dining experience at the hotel. The breakfast team will appreciate your kind comments re the hospitality.

37 of us had lunch on 1st October 2012. Feedback from the group was great. From the beginning, booking the meal and room, choice of menu offered and price all were excellent. On the day the Hotel staff were very welcoming, the service was very good and the meal was great. Everything was nice and hot, well presented, and very enjoyable. There was a bar available in the room where those who wanted could purchase wine or other drinks as required. The room was set out as we had requested and provisions had been made for our after dinner speaker. We are now about to go back to discuss arrangements for Christmas lunch based on the excellent feedback from our members at this event

This was our last stay in Ireland before going home. Check in was busy but the receptionist Laurie, i think, was very professional and friendly and made us feel like the only customers there. The hotel is dated and on first getting to the 2nd floor where our room was i started to panic. It is a very dreary and dark corridor. But i need not have worried. The room was lovely. Spotlessly clean bright and airy and what a comfy bed.
As stated in my last reviews breakfast is our favourite meal of the day and this did not disappointed at all. We were well fed for the days ahead sight seeing. Loved the food served to the table instead of buffet style. The wee girl was terrific as were the two foreign guys.
Bangor is a great base and we got a fantastic deal for b&b here. Overall the staff we met were fantastic. Nothing too much trouble including printing up maps and helping up plan our days. Evening waiting staff were great and we loved the meal we had here. The barman Brendan was hilarious. He had a story for everything and even talked me into cocktails. Overall a great stay made more enjoyable by the staff. Don't judge a book by its cover. And a huge thank you to all.

Thank you AnitaD28, for your inspirational review, I have past on your kind comments to both our Reception and Housekeeping teams. As Manager I realise that the staff are the currency of the business. It is great to be made aware that you at all times where treated with the utmost courtesy and professionalism and you enjoyed are now legendary Breakfast. We firmly believe that going the extra mile makes the difference to the guest experience. Our Bar Manager Brendan personifies the local friendly "Nothing is a problem" attitude. We here at the hotel endorse the maxim of "Never tell a book by its cover" you can have the bells and whistles, but hospitality is essentially a people business!!

Stayed overnight for a conference. Evening dinner was excellent as was breakfast next morning and the dining room was nice and bright and airy.

Only negative comment would be very poor lighting in bedroom even with all the lights on.

Staff were very courteous and knowledgeable and it was nice to see everyone with smiles on their faces.

Room Tip: Rooms to front of hotel have a good view of marina

Really appreciate Brindlecottage, the time taken to record you feedback on a recent conference visit. It is especially satisfying that as a corporate guest you found the hospitality and service exceeded your expectations. As you would be aware the business guest looked after well becomes the leisure guest of the future. Your observation regarding the bedroom lighting is duly noted. The team here at the hotel place a strong emphasis on a "Can Do" attitude delivered with a friendly demeanour.
