I had my wedding reception in the marine court at the start of May and it was completely flawless. After an excellent church service, the day only got better after arriving at the hotel. The bridal party and guests were made very welcome, the staff really couldn't have done any more. The standard of customer service was excellent, the reception room was fantastic, the food was outstanding and nobody went hungry! The bridal suite was outstanding and all our guests commented on how good the rooms were. I could go on and on but I would really recommend this venue for a wedding or even just a meal or drinks with friends. I can look back on my wedding day and honestly say our reception was fantastic. Thanks marine court!

Went with a group of hens on Fri 2nd May & weren't expecting that much for the price but were very impressed.
When we arrived, Janice the receptionist booked us in & was very attentive. We checked in to our rooms and thought that they were a lovely & a good size.
We weren't in long before we were due to begin our first surprise which was a cocktail making class. It was supposed to begin at 4 but didn't start until later which was slightly disappointing but we went for a few sherbets in the sports bar while we waited.
The cocktail class began with Matt the bartender teaching us & letting us sample about 10 cocktails which were ALL lovely (& strong). We chose our favourites & received two each. Emma, the Bride to be made strawberry daiquiris and Steph, the bridesmaid made cosmos. They were delicious & then we left to get ready for dinner.
Dinner was booked for 7 but we changed it to 7:30 to give us time. One of the girls, Tracey had a nosy in the kitchen and the waiters were quick to serve our food and were very attentive especially Billy, who looked after our pregnant friend, Lisa. She got an extra portion of turkey which she loved!!! The food was beautiful & the selection was plentiful. We all loved it!
Afterwards we ended up in Betty Blacks, which was part of the deal. We had a superb night!
Thanks to ALL the staff at Marine Court for looking after us :-)

This hotel has all the facilities I could want. The rooms are big and well appointed. There is a fitness gym with good equipment but some are getting towards the end of their life (my opinion).
There was an offer on an evening meal and it was prefect. breakfast was typical of Ulster with good choice. The hotel has a great position but my only real drawback comment is that I felt is was a LITTLE tired in the public areas.

Visited Bangor to attend a wedding in a nearby town, booked sea view exec room. Requested top floor since we were advised by hotel that the nightclub can be heard throughout the hotel at weekends until 1am. Room was ok - comfortable beds, very clean, but triple single beds (rather than double room we had reserved), and tired bathroom in need of update (as is the hotel, given prices). Marina view lovely though. Booked three nights, in hopes of a restful break. Perhaps we were unlucky, but this is not a hotel for resting (or sleeping). First night awoken at 1.15 by screeching couple having an argument outside our room until 1.45 - continued for another half hour in their room (walls are thin - be warned!). Days/Nights two and three the adjacent rooms were a hen party who played loud music/banged doors/partied in corridors etc until 3.30am. I appreciate that weddings/hens are special occasions, and guests want to party, however having had 8 hrs sleep over two nights, I called the night porter in desperation on the third. He kindly attempted to resolve the situation, but the ensuing loud argument in corridor for another 20 mins, and further shouting meant that we were unable to enjoy quiet until 4.30am. The reception advised that the hotel specialises in wedding parties etc., so I suppose this is the norm. Fine if you, too, are partying, but don't expect you'll have a restful break. I arrived home exhausted, and spent my three days (my holiday) in Bangor/Belfast in a haze of tiredness. The images on hotel website are not representative! Very good cooked breakfast though, and lovely dining room staff.

We booked an executive room for one night costing £110.00. A total disappointment!! The room size, decor nor view were as expected. The room was shabby and dull and not decorated like those advertised on the site, which looked bright and luxurious. The sea view was practically non existent and the corridors leading to the room were dank and extremely dark. The entire hotel needs a facelift. A complaint was made to the hotel on our return home but we didn't receive a call back. A booking company was used which charged a booking fee and we complained to them also, only to be told they accepted no responsibility for what the hotel post on their website nor the difference in standard between rooms advertised and those provided. I would recommend booking elsewhere as lovely b and b's are available in Bangor for almost half the price and a more enjoyable stay.

Booked the Mother's Day Carvery for quite a large party. Just wanted to say that the staff were really attentive and polite without being intrusive. The service was really slick and I can honestly say it was one of the nicest meals I have ever had. The food was absolutely gorgeous and all the mummies got a glass of champagne and a wee box of chocolates. A very talented lady played the harp in the background which was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend The Marine Court. Ten out of Ten!
