“Sunday Afternoon Tea”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

Have just shared Afternoon Tea with some friends here.
I really enjoyed the experience. The staff were both professional and friendly. We had a table overlooking the seafront.
The food was wonderful and the music in the backgound was easy listening but unobtrusive.
From the staff to the food............ a memorable experience.
Will be back!!

Thanks to janice and Danielle on front desk during check in and out they couldn't have made things any easier. Marvin was brilliant on night shift also, he couldn't have been nicer, nothing was an issue to him. When asking for sandwiches he did say it could take half an hour (that was not a problem). A message to The new general manager I think is called aidan or adrain, your staff our a credit to u. Dont go changing them

Many thanks for your very kind comments after your recent stay here at the Marine Court. I shall make sure your comments are passed on to all staff concerned.

As you say I am only recently appointed as the General Manager but from the outset have been very encouraged by the professionalism and dedication of all of the staff here at the Hotel and this is something that I will personally encourage and develop as time goes on.

Again, many thanks for taking the time to write your review as I know the staff will very much appreciate your kind comments.

We've been staying here for 14 years a couple of times a year and where we celebrated every special occasion! Just been for a night over the July break (after not being for 2 years) and were very disappointed at the change in the standard, what or who has happened to the Marine Court?? What was once an up market luxurious hotel is now nothing more than an average b&b, as for the menu in Lord Nelsons big mistake changing it, bring back the old menu n forget high tea there are cafés for that, and as expected for a hotel u will need to book a table in advance not an hour before you want to eat!! Do your.selves a favour new owner don't try and fix something that isn't broken!!

Many thanks for taking the time to post a review of your recent stay at The Marine Court. All customer reviews are very much appreciated as they give us the opportunity to improve on all areas of the services we offer.

The High Tea menu is a new addition to our menu offering and was introduced in response to guests commenting that they had fond memories of High Tea as it was once offered here at the Marine Court. In addition many expressed a wish that a lighter and more competitively priced alternative be offered in the early evening. This is why we took the decision to offer the High Tea menu in addition to our usual more comprehensive menu that has remained unchanged and is still available from 7pm.

I know that this may not meet all of our guests requirements, hence the reason why our staff are more than happy to offer our full menu to guests during the earlier 'High Tea' time.

As this is a new addition, we are constantly monitoring all guest comments to ensure that we tailor our menus accordingly, hence why your comments are so important to us and very much appreciated. I look forward to seeing you back at the Marine Court very soon.

Just experienced the new afternoon tea at the Marine Court and it was a wonderful experience. It was nostalgic in it's setting and the service and food quality was excellent. The staff are so professional but at the same time are warm and inviting and make you feel special. To top it all there is great entertainment which adds to the whole experience. A lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon - It is a must do and everyone should try it out.

I and my wife decided to visit N.I. for our 2nd honey moon. Just in time see Giro d'Italia, & the best of Belfast. That was sure a good decision.

The hotel started off on a wrong note, as they had "misplaced" our booking & kept us waiting for nearly an hour. However they were able to resolve this and apologized for the mix.

This they made up for in their being sensitive to guests, as they did their best to get us a quiet room.

The meals are great esp dinner for two; steak with preferred sides & house wine to go with it.

One downside though was the fact that the guests in the adjoining room were smoking in a no-smoking room. This we didn't find funny, but endured as we had just that night remaining.

Overall, good location, good room, good members of staff, and great meals.

Mckendry birthday party with 10 guests. From the minute we walked on the door till we left the next day we were treated like royalty. The staff were amazing with special
Mention to Aaron and Sunni. Friendly helpful. Rooms were big clean and with a view of the marina. Food was good but the service in the restaurant with a bit of banter was right up our street. Thankyou so much for a great birthday cocktail making event. This is the second one I've been to and was by far the best. the fitzwilliam was the other. Thanks again and look forward to seeing you again soon. Ps our cocktail making was at three and bookin was at three which was a little tight. Might be worth thinking About 2.45 bookin for this.
