Lovely walks through the woods, alongside the stream, and down to a beautiful beach. Only the poor quality toilets let the place down. Great place for a BBQ - loads of room and facilities. Our son loved camping there with the Scouts, at their site there - well out of the way of the general public! Autumn afternoons, with the sunlight glinting through the woods, are a simple delight.

This is a beautiful place in any weather. Being in Northern Ireland its more often dull and wet than sunny - You can enjoy a walk along the beach which will take you all the way to Bangor - have lunch and walk back or have a walk in the glen and through the trees. In sunny weather it is a very popular place for picnics and BBQ's - in Autumn and Winter it is more peaceful and extremely beautiful with lots of plants and trees. Been here many many times and have camped here in the Scout centre. Great times had by all.

Crawfordsburn Country Park was my first Boys Scouts camp many years ago . The park is still used by the scouts and thousand of visitors for all parts of the province. . The park is home to the National Trust.and has a large visitors centre.
The Crawfordsburn beach is part of the park. Walkers and runners use the park and the coastal path which stretches from Bangor to Belfast passes the park and beach.

Car parking is available but is always full especially at busy holiday periods.

This is a lovely country park to enjoy a walk in at any time of year. There are no admission charges. It has a passable beach which can get very crowded with families in good weather. The grassy bank is ideal for picnics and there is also quite a good cafe/restaurant adjacent to the wild life centre. There's ample car parking in the various car parks. The weak point would be the toilets, which others have mentioned. There are other (and better) toilets in the wild life centre which, any time I've been there, are well maintained.
