Fabulous country park. Beautiful coastal & inland walks ( try the waterfall one). Plenty of parking and a coffee shop too.

“Great Park”
Reviewed 1 June 2014 via mobile

We started coming to Crawfordsburn Country Park two years after it opened in 1972. Then we left Northern Ireland and whenever we return make a visit. This is a beautiful park, well maintained, and sensitively preserved. The beach has a large expanse of sand and views out to Belfast Lough. You can take a lovely walk by getting off the train at Holywood and walking along the coastline path through Crawfordsburn to Bangor. Then catch the train back to Belfast. Or drive to the park and bring a picnic. It's not too busy and there are plenty of private and tranquil areas. One of the best parks in the UK.

“Beach and beeches!”
Reviewed 21 May 2014

As always, an attractive setting for a walk along the coast or a foray into the wooded glen up to the waterfall. Look out for seals, herons, various gulls, cormorants and shags as you take in the wonderful views over Belfast Lough and beyond. A 'must see' on the tourist trail, showcasing the diversity and depth of natural beauty for all to appreciate in this fair province.
