“Congratulations, Bryansburn Inn”
Reviewed 21 April 2013

Although the Restaurant was very, very busy we were warmly welcomed and seated quickly which was really appreciated as one of our party was using a walking aid. We were happy
with the menu and pleased with our choices which were produced in good time, nicely presented . The staff were pleasant and attentive and the meal was reasonably priced. We shall be going back again.

“Good food”
Reviewed 10 April 2013 via mobile

Good food, tasty & well presented, good choice on menu. Service staff attentive but not annoyingly so. Reasonably priced.

“Ordinary”
Reviewed 8 April 2013

There's no doubting that the welcome you recieve is a warm one. The problem here is with the food and the drink. It took several requests to get the drinks order right, and when I ordered a Bloody Mary, I recieved a shot of vodka with a seperate bottle of Schweppes tomato juice.

The food isn't great and I suspect that most/all of it comes pre-packed from a chilled or frozen food supplier like Pallas. This means that the food is edible, but not enjoyable. The menu is not inspiring at all. The turkey & ham tasted very much like a ready meal.

The worst thing here has to be the wine list. If you enjoy a good glass of wine with your food, it won't happen here. There is not one bottle of wine on the list that is drinkable. Mass produced grog that indicates that someone doesn't know or care about what they are doing.

“All change? No, basically...”
Reviewed 27 March 2013

It's stuck in a time warp. Food is outdated and really hasn't kept up with food trends whatsoever. The restaurant area itself is quite pleasant (emphasis on the 'quite') but the bar area hasn't changed in years. Service is slick and attentive if one of the owners is present, but it's just not enough to lure me back. Very elderly clientele. Shame, used to be great back in the Sean and Tom era, but has gone downhill ever since.

“Like meeting an old friend”
Reviewed 17 March 2013

Having lived in Bangor and moved away many years ago I returned to take my mother out for a meal. We were met by attentive staff in a smart redecorated restaurant (from when I was last there). The menu was good, varied and reasonably priced. Our orders arrived well presented and were tasty.
Outside there is reasonably good parking though some of it is on a steep slope that may present difficulty for anyone with walking difficulty. so drop off at door first.
