We stayed for two nights last week having transferred from a Bangor hotel which was very disappointing. We were so glad we did transfer....the rooms are well designed, smart yet comfortable; evening meals were perfect for the spectrum of our family tastebuds (very traditional to spicy to innovative); service was warm, friendly but very professional; lounge areas are relaxing, modular in arrangement and cater for a family group which would like some privacy but still be part of the hotel atmosphere. Highly recommend ...and we will be back!

I have been here 3 times now and it gets better each visit. Angela on reception really looks after you, the rooms are fantastic, spacious and very clean. The beds are perfect, it's the best nights sleep I have had in awhile and the food is second to none I recommend it anyone.

We held our wedding at the Clandeboye Lodge and so stayed there the night of the wedding. The wedding itself was excellent, the staff were wonderful and the food was excellent. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. Breakfast the next day was delicious, all cooked food freshly prepared. Our only complaint is that we only stayed one night!

I ate in Coq and Bull on Friday early evening, and went with my father who is in his eighties. The welcome was warm and instant, and the new dining room really lovely. There has been such a shortage of places in this area offering high quality and healthy food, so the Coq and Bull fills a gap. My father had the Walter Ewings trio of fish pie, which was heavenly. The mash topping was infused with the fish stock, making it the ultimate comfort food. I had a salad of beetroot, apple, roast hazelnuts, leaves and goats cheese boules, with a Clandeboye yoghurt dressing. This was excellent, fresh and zinging with taste and quality. I also had a bowl of skinny fries, which were perfect. We will be going back over Easter with visitors from London, as we at last have somewhere great to take them. Service was very good, attentive, professional and friendly.

We held our wedding reception here in February 2014 and from the first wedding fair we attended 2 years previous we loved the place. The staff were so accommodating and could not do enough during our preparations. On the day the hotel exceeded all our expectations. Everything went so smoothly, the room décor was beautiful and the meal served was fantastic. All our guests commented on how it was one of the best wedding meals they had eaten. Everyone who stayed enjoyed a good nights sleep in comfortable rooms and breakfast the next morning was very enjoyable in the newly decorated restaurant. We would highly recommend this for a wedding venue and thank all the staff for their assistance in making the day a special and memorable one.
