“Fantastic wedding venue and”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

We recently attended a wedding at the Clandeboye Lodge and were extremely impressed with the venue and the quality of food and service. Travelling from Scotland for the wedding we extended our stay and spent a few extra days at the lodge with friends.
The room was very comfortable and the sitting areas were very welcoming. The quality of food in the restaurant at breakfast and dinner was excellent and we can honestly say that the quality of food served at the wedding was the best we have ever had. We were amazed that food of such high standard could be served for that number of guests.
The staff were very helpful and friendly and we cannot fault anything about our time at Clandeboye Lodge. Would highly recommend it for weddings, weekend breaks or dinner.

Room Tip: The Executive Queen room was fantastic.

we love this hotel, and my wife and I had another lovely overnight stay. Excellent room, great food, but where the Clandeboye scores higher than any other hotel I know is the friendliness of the staff. They all, without exception, do their jobs with a smile, treat you with courtesy and make you feel valued as a customer. Anyone working in a service industry should visit the Clandeboye and learn from their example!
Thank you for providing such a nice stay.

Clandyboy lodge is one of those very few hotels that make you feel special, and like an individual. Reception staff are especially helpful and cannot do enough. Fresh cooked breakfast all waited upon. Room as so quiet and peaceful. Love clandyboy

The hotel itself is nice and the food was good but some of the staff were rude and unengaging. We were in a rush to leave and the breakfast room service arrived 30 minutes late, with a few items missing from what we ordered.

My husband and I chose the Lodge after a wedding fair held here in Feb 2013. We loved it in the Blackwood & Sheridan suites & the grounds. We could see our small wedding being here. Swung for us while sitting sipping coffee, eating shortbread & listening to Arco string quartet.
They were very helpful meeting our requirements & the packages were set out fully. I met with Gia, Ian & Lorraine to get down to finer details & we had a truly wonderful day on June 17th 2014. Blessed with a beautiful sunny day and all went to plan except I was late due to the wedding car stuck in traffic. The meal was lovely and I could barely fit the desert in nevermind the cake.
It just went by so fast we would love to do it all over again. Have some gorgeous photos from grounds, inside Blackwood suite & at the Walled Garden in Bangor.

Room Tip: We did not have a choice between bridal suites but got the one with the large bath and shower. Didn...

Just back from 3 nights in this hotel. Wonderful staff, from Reception to Waiting Staff. The receptionist apologised on check in that they were unable to upgrade us (we were celebrating our anniversary) as the hotel was fully booked, but had made sure we had extra amenities in the room. The room was spacious and airy and very comfortable. The meal in the Coq and Bull restaurant was lovely, with some unusual choices on the menu. Each of the staff we encountered was so courteous and helpful. We will definitely be back!
