“Best cafe in Bangor”
Reviewed 16 August 2014 via mobile

The menu just gets better and better all the time. All the food has a lovely home cooked feel to it and the price reflects this.

The staff are so lovely and friendly and really helpful. Can't recommend this place enough!

Bonus, car park right across the road so always easy to get parked.

“Friendliest home cooked brilliance”
Reviewed 10 August 2014 via mobile

A genuinely lovely café that perfectly mixes quirkiness and comfort. The food is unique and delicious. The decor is always interesting and local art hangs on the walls. It's a true gem of a place.

“Consistently good”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

This little café is a real find. The owner, Amy Wyatt, is a very talented artist and her work is displayed along with other local artists. Her husband's a poet (Paul Daniel Rafferty) and you can enjoy their work while enjoying their food! Great for breakfast or lunch - lots of daily specials, all home-cooked. There's a very loyal clientele and they all keep coming because the food and service is always excellent.

“Best Cup of Americano in Bangor”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

This is my favourite coffee shop in Bangor. Located at the end (or start - depending on how you look at it!) of Abbey Street, it is just at the edge of Bangor town centre. It is small and in my wife's words, quite "Bohemian".
The Curious Cat is part cafe, part art gallery and a favourite of those who know about it. The food is excellent in its quality and value and the staff (headed by Amy - part artist, part proprietor and part saint!! - who puts up with me and my friend) are warm and welcoming and as mentioned in the title it serves the best cup of americano (and according to my wife hot chocolate / Black Forest coffee) in Bangor.
In some ways I am reluctant to write this review, because I want to keep it to myself!
