Booked a table in the restaurant for my in laws golden aniversary meal and all had the TDH menu @ £27.95 pp for 3 courses.
The menu had plenty of choices to suit everyone including vegetarians and the serving staff gave us plenty of time to make our choices whilst our drinks arrived.
When the food arrived the portions were huge and feshly prepared. The dressings on the salad leaves were subtle and enhanced rather than masked the flavours of the other items.
We all had the rib eye steak for our main couse and it was cooked to perfection for each of us with plenty of chips and vegetables and the sauce served in seperate sauce dishes so we could choose whether to add jus or peppercorn sauce to our steaks. If i had to make one negative comment i would suggest that they made thicker chips but that's just down to personal taste.
The pudding menu varies on a daily basis and there was a choice of about 4 items. As a diabetic they went out of their way to make me a fresh friut platter except it was liberally dusted with icing sugar & a sweet coulis!
The service was unhurried and we had a relaxed meal in a soothing atmosphere. Would highly recommend the restaurant for a meal for whatever the occasion or casual dining.
