Description: The Egerton Arms is a traditional country pub with low beams, big fireplaces, bizarre antiques and a long bar with old brass pumps. Having now been revived as a local to the townsfolk of sunny Chelford, the pub features a fully equipped hundred-seater restaurant with friendly table service. All food is sourced locally by our experienced and very serious chefs (serious about food that is). The menu is a selection of classic pub favourites and then the chef goes wild on his specials chopping board.

Came here on a Saturday with family for dinner. Great menu choice with really well presented food. Portions were just right and everything tasted lovely.

Definitely worth a visit on the way to Knutsford.

We stopped here for the first time on Sat 9th Aug '14 and are so glad we did. The service was so friendly and 'Jeremy' made us feel like old friends immediately. We happened to be there as several steam engines turned up from a local gala and the kitchen was bombarded with food orders. Even though they were obviously stretched to their limits the service didn't falter and the food was excellent. There was a great selection of food on offer and we will certainly be going back in the near future to try some more. There's also a 'deli' attached that serves breakfast from 10am so next time we go to Chelford car boot we will be calling there for breakfast. An added bonus is that dogs are welcome which was great for us. Beautiful large country pub with loads of character and friendly staff & locals. Well worth a visit if you're near the area.

A historic building with service that lives up to its heritage. Excellent food and service by attentive staff. Being dog friendly was an added bonus. I look forward to trying their mussels on their speciality night.

We have dined here a few times and never been disappointed. The welcome is hearty and genuine, food excellent from a varied menu and the beer well kept and much appreciated. The variety of beers on sale is also exceptional.
The best part is that this all comes with a significant discount on certain days of the week. Well worth searching for vouchers locally.
