Pleasantly located farmhouse between Macclesfield and Knutsford. Spacious and very clean rooms, comfy bed, excellent breakfast, plenty of parking space, pets welcome, quiet location but easily accessible from the M6 etc. Good value for money and very handy for nearby attractions.

Room Tip: Book early - this is a popular place.

Astle Farm is our B&B of choice when visiting family in the Cheshire area. We have visited several times and always go there if there is availability. Very nice large rooms with a view over the garden and the adjacent dairy farm. Very friendly, good breakfast, spotless rooms and our dog loves it. Great walks through the fields too.

We were in the area for a wedding and after getting a nice pamphlet on the farm were looking forward to staying there. We arrived to an ok welcome, the lady didnt ask why we were in town but just showed us the room. She was polite and the room was really big which is good with a nice pleasent view. But, she told us breakfast was only between 6am and 9am which, for a Sunday morning, we felt like was a bit early. We then went out to the wedding and got back circa midnight and settled in for a good night's sleep.

Unfortunately, at about 7:30am we were awaken by loud bashing of doors and furniture and loud talking between the hosts of the B&B. We litterally could hear every word. No attempt was made to keep the noise down and it went on until 9:30am. We tried to ignore it but it totally ruined our sleep and we didnt really want to face them for breakfast so we decided to leave at 10am and go to town. On coming downstairs we were asked if we were off now and then asked to pay up. No polite conversation or even asked us if we had a good night sleep (which thanks to the wake up call we didnt). Felt really unwanted and disapointed in the whole thing.

It wasnt even cheap.....£65 for a breakfast which isnt served past 9am and a bad night sleep.

Avoid

We were made very welcome on arrival, and looked-after extremely well throughout.
The Farm is just-off the A537 west of Macclesfield, and is very convenient for the attractions and countryside in this part of England. The House is on a working Farm, surrounded by a delightful garden. Thankyou, Gill & Andy, for looking after us so well.
