We played Tytherington on 12th August 2013 and what a course it is. At 6200 yards off the day tees it is a really good test of golf. It is a mature tree lined course with a number of ponds and ditches. All of the greens are well protected by some strategically placed bunkers, some of which are large enough to be classed as beaches!
It definitely rewards the straighter hitters, but wayward shots will normally still offer a reasonable chance of getting back in play and not wrecking your card.
The Par 3s are all tricky, even the shorter ones.
Highly recommended for societies especially if you take up one of the deals on offer.
The staff in the 19th were really friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. all in all a top day out on a top course.
